get several calls weekly - they want us to verify our business google account.

Many phone calls from this number over the past couple of months. Told them to take me off their calling list. "Roger Roy" with a heavy east Indian accent keeps calling me. His cell number is 1 567 686 0326. He wants $90 American in order to take my business name out of "non-maintenance" category. Google has no idea who he is.

Comes up as GVERIFIERTECHN  Yes a call center noise n bkgrd.  They have lots of our info. BUT it sounds fishy.  Did not get to where they asked for money.

These Scammers from India are trying to get you to give them a code they will text you which will allow them to take over your phone and get into your credit cards and all your personal information.

Same thing, scammer called and said my employers business needed to pay to get google verification back or something (I toned out pretty early on). Gave me their number and said to make sure when I call back that I ask for Jerry Edwards lol.

Called to verify my business listing. Strung me along for about 10min with very legitimate info before they asked for money and I told them I would call the Google line myself.

They wanted to very our business' Google My Business and validate it for another 2 years, had some of our info, even got us to share back with them verification codes. They were asking for Manager permissions on Google My Business, even though Google left a little note on that Confirm/Decline page saying Google will never ask for that. Seemed semi-legit based on the email/phone, but when they asked for money, that clicked for sure. They even routed their call through Michigan where there is a Google office.

"James Carter" who I then found out was named Abdul (maybe, maybe not) after asking him, called from Cust Serv # 1-800-986-6470 and said his personal contact info was 269-227-1899, Ext. 150 and wanted a one-time $99 fee.

Caller Identified himself as working for "the" Google and showed up on call display as GVERIFIER TECHN 1-269-227-1899.  He stated his name was James Carter in a heavily accented english and was calling to obtain Google Verification for a five year term, so we wouldn't receive any more calls like this (from dirtbags like him.)  Stated his number was 1-800-986-6470 extension 150.  He was both mining for information, personal cell numbers for verification purposes and wanting to send maintenance fee breakdowns.  He called back after I hung up the first time to persist.  Clearly a scam.

Received a call from Google to verify my address.  Indicated there was a one time activation fee of $90.  When I told them I would not give my credit card they hung up.

They called our business claiming to be google Hyper Local. $99 US per month for subscription.

I received multiple calls from this number claiming to be representing Google listings. When I googled the number they used to call I came upon this page. I'm choosing to believe they are not legitimate.

They are only going to get practice dialing my number because I do NOT answer any calls not already listed in my phone.  If they can't leave a message that would justify a return call, then they are wasting their time with me... all of them.
