message was very scary and threaten-Not sure if this "caller" is a scam

Seems to be a Total Scam.
Mark Barnes called from 800-989-8051 and said he was from Commercial Asset Investigations and they would be doing an investigation of our company on behalf of Gary Grant of Greenberg, Grant & Richards and their phone # is 844-888-8044.
When Mark Barnes was asked why we were receiving this phone call he said the owner of our company would know why .....and who Gary Grant was.  NOT TRUE!  Never heard of either company (one seems to be in Va. & the other in Texas) and we are located in Minnesota.
When I pressed Mark Barnes with more questions he hung up.

Conversation went almost exactly as Dave Lakey's.  I knew it was a scam right away as they were referencing a corporation that was dissolved two (2) years ago.  Said he thought they already called (Sam Henry of Greeberg, Grany & Richards with same no. they gave Dave.

If you receive a phone call from this number or Greenberg, Grant, and Richards, please contact the agency in your state which licenses and regulates Private Investigators to file an "unlicensed activity report". You can also contact your State's Attorney General's Office and file a complaint there as well. Bottom line, they threaten to interfere with your business -- which is illegal -- it's called torturous interference.

I got a message from a Jason Williams on my personal phone telling he was a PI from Commercial Asset Investigations working on behalf of Greenberg, Grant, and Richards and would be by to take photos and conduct an investigation as well as a full inventory for an asset and liability investigation. He left the contact Sam Henry and a phone number of 844-888-8044 if I had any questions. A receptionist answered and asked for my case number, which was in the message. I didn't give it to her and just asked to be connected with Sam Henry. All I got was a voice mailbox and I did not leave a message. Jason Williams message was orchestrated to sound very official and threatening. I don't believe it's real.

I got a surprise call from Mr. Burns today. I have never had a call like that before. It wasn't a threatening call, just very firm and telling me exactly what's going to happen. And then ofcoarse there was a callback number for Greenberg, grant and Richards to talk to a professional bill collector, whos only point to make was how much I owed on a bill and how much I needed to pay. I really don't know what to make of this. Been very stressed out about this. Can anyone please give me detailed information about what my rights are and if I should even worry about this?

800-989-8051. I wecieved a call from Jason Williams, from Commercial Asset Investigations. He says he's going to come on Friday to take pictures and then he was going to come on Monday. He thinks he is going to come over. He doesn't have my proper address, so when he show up, he feel really stupid cause I no be at that address. Good Luck.

Got same call from 800-989-8051.  He referenced a case number and gave a name for a law firm, Greenberg, Grant & Richard, and contact, Michelle Kowie (spp?).  We called, they didn't have that case number.  Total scam.  We no longer occupy that address.  Hope he has fun walking around a vacant space.

He identified himself as Mark Barnes of Commercial Assets investigation . Representing a Vincent Cruz. I believe it's a scam. Don't know either person. He states he's investigating my self and my company. Would be at my home on Monday.

A Jason Williams called from 1-800-989-8051 today saying that he was calling for a Tom Zoccaro and they were an asset firm to evaluate our business.

I actually hung up on him and then he called back and gave me further information and said he was not selling anything but that he was coming to our office.

I googled the number after the call and sure enough their were these complaints.

Mark Barnes of Commercial Assets investigation called my parents and got my number and then he left 2 voicemails for me saying he was coming to my business to take pictures and investigate.  So happy i found this site and saw others were contacted with the same story.  Obviously this is a scam.  He had the name of a previous tenant that rented the store in my building will call the new tenants and warn them about this scam. .

I got a call from Mark Burns of Commercial Assets Assoc. and he was going to start is investigations and take pictures of all my equipment and assets for Greenberg Grant and Richards. He said to call Sam Henry because he would be on another investigation. This is absolutely a scam. No phone conversation to anyone about a debt owed before this and this clown starts calling...it sounds like a scam and harassment.

Give your state attorney general's office a call about this.  You are not the only one who has been called.

Just so you know I got the same message spoke with the same person and i told him that i would have a police officer waiting for them. I asked what time i should expect them so that i can coordinate it with Mesa Police Department and they hung up and never called me back. It is against the law its call torturous interference. My boss got a call on his cell phone and I got a call at our office. Best way to go about it is to threaten them with police interference. Good Luck!!

Funny thing is my company just got this call today, My boss is frantically trying to figure out what to do, he'll be happy to hear its just a scam.

Got this same call, but from Dave Henry. Tell them you will have sheriff or police on site at appt time and they will stop calling.

David Avery called and left a message saying he was a PI working for David Nuart of Greenberg, Grant and Richards and would be coming to my business on Friday to investigate my assets and take photos and then would be back on the 22nd to do a complete inventory.

Same number called me. Same message . Checked with PA State Rep. IT IS A SCAM.

Well i live in missouri and trespassing laws are pretty clear here. I told him they are more than welcome to come buy and play with our guns. He hung up after that comment.
