    Typically, when I call back numbers like this they turn out to be spoof numbers. That is, the message after dialing the number is, "The number you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the number and try again." So obviously, the number is really not a working number. In this case, the voice insisted my social security number had been suspended. That was enough to go ahead and hang up. The irritation with spoof numbers is that they don't "go anywhere. MY caller ID has, on spoof numbers, callers such as a Genetics company, a Police solicitation for donations, State of Utah, Avery Texas, etc.
