This is an outfit called Success Team (947 S. 500 E., American Fork, UT 84033) working as a call center using the Fax phoneline of John Roberts Design (100 W. Canyon Crest, Alpine, UT 84004) in behalf of an on-line promoter/scammer called (in their latest encarnation) Online Suppliers.  The folks behind Online Suppliers have a long history of Internet scamming.  Online Suppliers is a subsidiary/partner of Newave Inc, a publicly traded media and promotional fullfillment company.  Newave, Inc has recently changed its name (again) to Commerce Planet. These are the same people who were selling a couple of products known as AUCTIONROAD and HUD REFUND a couple of years ago. Both of those programs were offered by the same company, but they called themselves Pinnacle LLC at that time. They had to change their name agian due to the massive amount of customer's complaints with the BBB and FTC regarding their business practices. Their contact information is 30 La Patera Lane, Goleta, CA 93117, Phone: 805-964-9126, Fax: 805-964-9232. Check out their website at www.commerceplanet.com. You can also check their stocks under the letters NWWV OR nwwve.ob

One of Commerce Planet's current "campaigns" is to have their "subsidiary/partner" Online Suppliers, sell you a promotional package for $9.95 proporting to give details on how to hook up with them to sell merchandise using e-bay.  Then the third company, Success Team, comes in as a call center minion/business coach to you.  Their contact phone calls start by trying to get you to tell them, in the course of a semi-scripted spiel, your confidential financial information (SSN, bank accounts, credit card #s, etc.)under the guize of "qualifying you as a business partner". If you fall for that one they pass the information on to Internet Suppliers and who knows whom else, then look out for the fleecing.  Of course Commerce Planet will keep an arms length relationship with these subsidiary/partners so that when the crap hits the fan on this "campaign" they can shell out Online Suppliers, let the Success Team do what they can to save themselves, and walk away from it all pretending they didn't know what was going on - Not their fault, unscrupulous partners, etc., etc.!  Well in actuallity, their partners are themselves. All the calls going into Online Suppliers are taken in the Goleta office, so if they claim to not to know what is being offered and how well fullfilment is going, they are deaf, blind and dumb.  I don't think they are any of those things.  They've been getting away with this type of thing for at least the last 5 or 6 years.  So unless you want to arm wrestle with a bear to keep your money in your pocket, better stay away from them and their deals.

Girl called our home phone was persistant telling us that someone had opened an account with my wife's name to buy and sell on e-bay. her quote" you recently requested an account be set up on e-bay". On the third call back she said that maybe there was a case of "identity fraud here". I hung up each time and gave her no information.

Got my information from Mark Warren (http://ultimatewealthpackage.com)Called to offer help in setting up internet based business. Asked for all my income details and my credit card debt. According to the person called the investment for the help extended was about $20k. Didn't sound very honest and convincing. I am very skeptical about their intentions. Beware of this caller.

I just received a call from these people(I did *69 to find out who called)
The guy who called tried to get personal info from me, and I didn;t give it to him, he was going to help me, but I had to use a credit card to establish my intent for a personal/home business, then he would transfer me to his business supervisor, who would set up a business account/program for me.He said he was representing Google.

I received a call from this number last week and again this week. They are now calling for a company called Jordan Publishing. They are enrolling people and charging them $297. for a forecloser school. When you call the number back they will not answer. Also, I called the number on my credit card statement that the money was sent to and they say that because the "7-day trail" is over that they can not refund your money!! I never signed up for this school and told the gentleman that I was not interested in it. He then told me that I would not incur any charges. So when I saw that a $297 charge had ocurred I was upset. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm in the process now trying to get my money back.

i've received two calls from this number today (3/5/08) and this number is my private cell number, so i don't know how they got it.
Since i did not recognize the number, i did not pick it up and i figured if it was someone who was legitimately trying to contact me, then they would leave a voicemail message with a name, number, and brief message.  However, since there was no message left, I started to get a little curious and i just so happened to type this number into Google to see if something came up, and sure enough, quite a few things came up.  I would really like to know how to get this number either blocked or to stop this number from calling me anymore.

Did you recently buy Dean Graziosi's book? B/c that's how they got my phone number I think...and that is what they called me about.

Dean does have a "success team" mentoring program, but not sure why he'd partner with a company with such a shady past.

Received a call from the same number. Talked to a guy called Brian asking about my income and how much available balance I have on my credit cards. I told them 11K+. They 'Brian' handed it over to Victoria who then talked about the business in detail - sell on ebay, setup a website, market the products, etc. Total of investment is my credit card balance.

Question is: why would my investment need to be total of my credit card available balance?

If another prospect said their available balance on their credit card is $1,0000, would the investment be $1,000, too?

Very doubtful. You don't need more than $500 to setup a website+marketing (Google Ads)+Research to sell a product on eBay. Packaging and shipping costs of products are borne by eBay dropshippers/wholesalers. Period!

This number has been calling me from the time I ordered Angela Pedington (Spelling?) home business (processing rebates).  After paying $197 to this scam company, I stupidly looked it up on google.  Come to find out its a scam.  So, I cancelled the order, emailed them saying I know they are a scam, and that I notified my credit card company of their unethical business practices.  Thus, they did not charge my credit card.  However, now I am receiving these phone calls everyday.  So, I am thinking that they are connected.  Angela's site asked me the same questions -- credit card debt, etc.  VERY FISHY!  I do not trust the internet anymore.

some guy repeatedly called not only my home #, but my private cell phone. I repeatedly told him to stop calling me, but he kept dialing back over and over again harassing me. He told me he wasn't going "to help me" if I wasn't nice to him. I even told him that I was going to report him, but I had to take my phone off the hook.

Warning: these guys are scamming people out of money, by telling you they want you to be in an infomercial and are willing to assist you in the next 12 months to help you make $1000’s

Last night I got a call from someone named Dave Stevenson who gave me his contact number – 800-405-8582 x1123. I spoke to Dave for several hours last night, who tried to convince me that his company (Thrive Learning Institute) wanted to help motivated individuals to make money, so that I could give a positive testimonial and perhaps be in an infomercial.

He told me I needed to qualify and by answering a series of questions, he would see if I was a good candidate. He was looking for motivated people and if qualified, I would speak to the director, Bryan McQuay who would ultimately approve me.

He told me about a concept of OPM (other people's money - or the banks money) for making money. After a couple hours of questioning my motivation, goals, etc, he finally got to the point. He asked me to give him a list of my credit cards, the balance, APR and how much the limit was. I foolishly gave him the info, for he didn’t ask for credit card numbers, yet! He determined I had about 15k of available funds. He told me that we could use that money to get started, indicating we would be using the banks money (my credit cards), instead of my own! Interesting!

I would also like to point out that he made sure my decision to use my credit cards was my choice and was not influenced by a significant other. These guys are good at what they do!

After “qualifying” I was given a call by the Sr. Director (Bryan McQuay) who gave me his contact info where he could be reached at 800-405-8582 x1065. He then started stating the numbers and told me it would cost $13,900 to start. I told him why that amount? Which happened to be so close to the available amount on my credit cards and he said it was for books, CD’s and material. I then asked if he expected me to come up with the 13K tonight while we were on the phone. Bryan immediately got upset indicating that if I wasn’t up for it, I was wasting his time. When I asked, "what was wrong with giving me 24 hours to at least research your company", he no longer wanted to talk to me. He was screaming at me telling me 5 minutes earlier I was motivated and "ready to take action". When I wouldn’t budge, he hung up!

5 minutes later Dave called back telling me he just got a ration of sh** from Bryan for wasting his time and said “what happen”! I told him there was no way I was handing over money without knowing anything about the company. He got enraged and told me sometimes people have to make decisions “right now” to be successful. He told me I was full of it and a few other choice words.

He then told me I should buy lube, so I could stick @$^# up my a@@. I couldn’t believe it! I told him what I thought about it and hung up. I then called Bryan at 800-405-8582 x1065 and left a message telling him what I thought of his scam attempt.

BEWARE – I was fortunate to get out of this without giving up money, almost! I would also like to point out, that he got my number from http://money-making-website.net/manage/login.php, where I had recently signed up with this business for $49.00. Not so ironically I was charged for the money, but can’t get logged into the site. It looks like I indeed did get scammed for the $49.00! Hopefully my credit card company will reverse the charges!

If you look up the making money website on Ripoff report, you will see more testimonials of people getting scammed there.

    Is anyone honest anymore?
