I was the last victim.   And I was at the last stage of trying to send them the money.  This is ridiculous.    I worked on this transaction a whole day.  These people need to be stopped.

Ms. Amanda McCoy did get away with her fake listings.........again. Same story, but this time it was a '04 Tundra ,and she lives in CT. I was dumb enough to run a Carfax, but at least it only got that far! Hopefully Carfax will have some sort of repercussion!

True....My dad and I look at cars as like a hobby and we always go to craigslist. We saw the Nav and he was like "we have to jump on this." So first thing he did was go to KBB and look up how much the Nav would b ven if it had 200,000 miles on it. The price was still higher than 4000. So he called her and heard this story and was like "Yeah sure......." From the story of her going through a divorce and having her brother drive it up was obviously a scam

THis happened to me too. only it was a guy claiming to be going to Iraq. He was selling a 1999 Acura integra gsr wwith 58000 miles on it for $2800. He also sad he was from Montana and would have the car shipped at his exsepnse. He also said we would go through ebay for the payment.

Got a twist on this ,her new # is 267-940-7892 she says she is in WV .I talked to her and she has a German accent.She is selling a 2004 Toyota 4runner.Same MO as the rest.

This happened to me, same sad story about loosing her house and having 2 kids and everyting. She gave me an address in huntington WV but wouldn't give me a number to call. This was for a 2004 Toyota SR5 4x4 for $4100. I looked up the plate number on the suv and found out it wasn't in her name.I also couldn't find the house address in the WV phone book.She went by the name Melissa Renton Melissa1renton@gmail.com

The old adage: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

I to was almost scammed in to a craigslist ad. Here is the email:

I was almost got scammed myself by this suzanne webley. 316-313-4551 is the # she called from. 2005 truck out of Indiana! The poeple from western union advised me about this & i walked away. Thank God almost lost 4745 with fees!

I got the same story except I got an address and they used the name Suzanne Webley 1105 Cheyenne Dr.  Crown Point, IN 46307 this is where we were supposed to pick up the truck this weekend.  I hope they get caught.  Also e-mail of suzwebley@gmail.com
