I got a text from this number 5:21 am on january 10, 2013. I had post a ad on craigslist so this makes me think it's a joke because I texted back and got no reply. If they are from utah and the ad is posted in Illinois that is kind of strange to me.

i just got one of those texts also. i am on craigslist selling a dress and ive had two numbers txt me that were fake.

I also got a text at 5:21 this morning about a dress that I'm selling on Craigslist. The person told me they were from St. Louis and just moved to Utah and offered me $30.00 extra to not sell my dress to anyone else.

Same thing happening here. But first used number1-801-876-0320 used name Jacob Calderon wanted prom dress and offered extra 30 to take off Craigslist then I told them knew was a scam pissed them off so they kept texting me then actually text with different number in a mentally ill way saying hope you got your check today in the USPS and I got a bogus check with a smile face signature on it for 1979.00. The dress I was selling was 300. This deranged mentally ill thing is just going around doing this to everybody on Craigslist just to get off on it because they are anti-social no life no doubt with no friends. Because who in their right mind would do this?

Same thing happening here...wedding dress....Jacob....different google voice numbers..more than a scammer fishing to defraud. This person has an issue and considering at least two victims involve dresses I'd say he possibly is dangerous. Do not reply to him

I got a message from this guy too, except now he refers to himself as "Jesus"... He tried offering me 30 dollars extra to hold on to the dress and 45 for shipping it to him.. then after he send me a $2000 check and i confronted him, he threatned me lol..what a joke

Same here, wow!!!  Im selling a wedding dress on Craigslist Houston, TX..... they said they've just moved to CA for a job in "security" and wants to buy the dress via mail for their daughter... $875 for the dress & $50 to hold it until the shipper comes to pick it up. I replied... "CASH only upon pickup" & haven't heard back.
I've had several of these types of texts & emails from out of state... all with similar out of town stories, offering shipping & payment by money order or check written by their "secretary" or "assistant". In other words, its a 3rd party check-
These money order payments from out of state are a SCAM... once u cash the check or money order, u will be held responsible for the money that was cashed as it is coming from a fraudulent account.
