just called me @ 8:31 pm, called back twice, got a busy signal both times... The Kaplan thing works for me too... Hope that's it.

I finally managed to get this call after 8 or 10 missed calls from the number on my iPhone - all from the same 801-797-0923 in Bountiful, UT. Never a voice mail and impossible to call back. Turned out to be Kaplan, I attempted to explain to the person calling not to call back and to remove me from their list (have asked before - took their GMAT course in Feb) she hung up on me. I've since filed a complaint with the FCC which I encourage you all to do as well. File form 1088 with the FCC. Good luck.

Rcvd the call at 6:59 pm  ... no vm like everyone else, but it is from Kaplan testing service... I applied for a job there and started rcving calls for no reason.

I received two calls from this number two days in a row on my cell phone. No voice mail was left and wasn't able to answer in time.

I have been called for the last 2 months, 2-3 times a week by this number.  It does not answer incoming calls, even if I answer it, there is no one there, and they have never left me a message.

Called from this number today at 6:39pm local time. I did not pick up.

I too have a Kaplan connection. I bought a Kaplan book for GMAT and registered on their website so I could view online material. That was back in April.

they have been calling me almost everyday for the past 2 weeks between 1 and 130pm. i am sorry that i signed up for the kaplan free practice test.

i received 4 phone calls from this number over the course of a week. No VM was left. when i try to call it back, verizon does not let me complete the call.

I receive calls from this number like 3 times a day. I don't answer cuz I never pick up 800 numbers... but I've never signed up for Kaplan like the people above have said. So idk why they would be calling me. I hate that they have called as early as 730am, and as last as 9pm... can they be blocked? Its annoying!

I too have been receiving a call from this number nearly everyday for the past two weeks...and I have a connection with Kaplan!  Back in April I signed up for a free Kaplan GMAT practice test and seminar.  When I try to call the number back it rings once and then Verizon tells me that all circuits are busy.

It's a call from Kaplan. I signed something months ago saying I was interested in their prep for the GMAT. Called several times before but I always missed it and they never left a VM. I tried calling back but it was always busy or never went through.

They started calling me 4 days ago. The first two days, they only called me once a day. Yesterday they called me 3 times, and today so far (it's 2 in the afternoon) they have already called me twice. I usually am not at my phone to answer, but this last time I ignored it. I haven't signed up with Kaplan or anything, so I don't know why my number is on their list.

Got a call from this number twice a day. When I call back no one picks up... I assume it's from kaplan as well as I participated in one of their offers.. I now regret it...

I've gotten multiple calls this week alone. Seriously, 6 calls in one week. No VM and I don't answer numbers I don't know.

Automated. If you wait a bit it finally picks up. They wont leave message because its a sales call. KAPLAN Test Prep....Took a class with them.

Yeah, I have been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks now.  It is 6:30 p.m. and I have received 3 calls so far today.  Getting pretty ridiculous!  And a voicemail is never left.

got called three times:
once on 8/15/09 and twice on 8/29/09
didn't pick up any of those times.
no VM left during any of the three calls.
hella shady!

I just received a call from (801)797-0923 with no VM. The comment about "Kaplan" rings a bell, because CSUF just started last week and some girl was walking around campus wanting to know if people were interested in taking GRE, GMAT or another test for a master program. She was gathering names, phone numbers and email addresses.

Oh yeah! It probably is Kaplan, cause I did just sign up to recieve info from them for my GMAT! Thx

1) Call Kaplan at 212-492-5800. 2)Tell them to put you on their "Do Not Call List." 3) Go to www.donotcall.gov. Register your phone number. 4) Check your e-mail to activate the registration. 5) You must be on the government do not call list for 31 days before you can make a complaint against the company. 6) Keep track of the phone number (801-797-0923) along with the date and times of the calls. 7) After 31 days, go to www.donotcall.gov and click on "File A Complaint."
