Received a call, I didn't pick up. Phone ID shows "Delivery Service"

Whoops, addendum to above post. Phone ID showed "Delivery Notice" not "Delivery Service"

When I picked up the phone, it was a recorded message - "Delivery confirmed, ..." I did not catch the id number, but was confused because I did not ask anything to be delivered.  It hung up after the message.  We are on Federal do not call list, too.

They have left a message on our machine about ten times.  
One of those calls we were still asleep.
I am on the Federal do not call list.  
They leave no way to talk to a human being without agreeing to something incoherent.  
They should be denied access to the phone.

They call us everyday at 5:15 and it is an automatic call.  It's really, really annoy!

They started calling about 2 weeks ago, 6 days a week. The caller ID shows "Delivery Notice", but the recording says "service verification, we will call back later". I want neither. I never heard of the Star Tribune.
I don't think they know what states they are robo calling.

I just got to the phone before the answering machine would have picked it up.  The message was something like, "This is a phone number verification.  We will call back later".  My guess is that no human was available to talk to me at that moment.  I don't have caller ID, but got the number by dialing *69.  A few months ago I got a call asking if I wanted the Star Tribune's weekend advertising section, and I told them no.  It didn't occur to me until I read the posts here that I shouldn't have been called because I'm on the 'Do Not Call' list.

This number keeps calling me.  I am on the do not call list.  Please tell me how to stop these calls.

They are apparenlty soliciting subscriptions to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.  Unless you want to subscribe, don't bother to answer.  They seem to run subscription campaigns on a regular basis under different telemarketing caller ID names and I'll get numerous calls before they finally give up.  It'll last weeks.

Got the same message about Delivery Notice, from a robo call.  It said it would call back later. I guess that it was verifying my number....which is totally unlisted.  Dang it, wonder how it got my number.

Calls all the time. When you answer there is noone on the other end.

They call numerous times but I blocked their number on the first attempt so it rings ONCE and then rejects their call on our Panasonic cordless phone.

Do what Baby Girl does and don't answer the unknown calls.  The calls will slow down in due time. I don't get many anymore.

Look at the book that came with your home phone to see how to block calls.

The same thing happened to me on Tues.  We will see if it is delivered Sunday.

I too have been getting calls from this number multiple times per week. They leave a message stating they need delivery notification. I called the number back today and you can input your number to have it removed from the call list. It says it takes up to two days. We'll see if it does the trick.

They've been calling me everyday and I do not answer. I called them and it's "customer service"  "if you would  like you nimber removed please leave your phone and confirm and we won't call you anymore"
I'm afraid if I confirm my phone I'll get spammed. How do I call the feds dnc number? I'll look it up. Thanks

Okay folks, they already have your/a number to call and annoy you.  They'll continue to do it.
BUT Maybe if you call it back and enter your number to have it removed, they may actually
do it in '..two business days.'.  Confirming your number to them doesn't change a thing if
they're a dishonest company, but if they are semi-reasonable just maybe they'll remove it.
The federal do not call lists are worthless, I've tried it before.  And since savvy phone marketers
can spoof the called Id, having that to give to the fcc is generally useless.
