I get at least 7 calls a day from these idiots.  My father died 6 months ago and had an account.  They want me to pay it and I told them I wasn't.  You would think if you didn't answer the phone for 5 months they would get the hint.  Complete morons in my book.

Have had several calls from this number to my cellular # - no messages left and caller ID simply showed the number, as is common on cellular phones. The trick to getting through this, annoying as it is, is - DON'T ANSWER the call. It's less aggravation. But if there actually is a place to report genuinely inappropriate or undeserved calls, could someone post the info? And I don't owe DISCOVER any money, at least, none that's past due. So who knows? If FCC or FTC has a place to complain, how do we find out about it?

Okay, try this one on for size:  They keep calling our cellphone which is in my inlaws name we don't nor do my inlaws have or have ever owned a discover credit card they call that cellphone number 11 times a day and do not leave a message there is breathing on the message and the name Reuben said that is it.  So please explain that one for me.

Ok, I admit; I owe them $211.63. BUT...I'm current on my payment and one isn't scheduled due for three weeks.  They started to call me this week I suspect because I closed my account a couple of months ago and will finish paying my account as agreed.  I believe that they are irritated because I don't owe them alot of money, have been paying my account as agreed for the past 10 years and they don't like the fact that they are not going to make anymore profit from me through their inflated interest rates.  This whole thing came about when they raised my interest rate from 11.50% to 21% and I said  HELL NO! I'm not going to go along with it and closed my account. They had to keep my interest rate at the 11.5%.  I kept paying my account as agreed and now that it's getting down to chump change, they don't like it.  I told the representative that I spoke with last that the call was being recorded and they have been notified that they are not to contact me again.

I started getting calls from this number on my company cell phone.  Answered and no one is there.  Called the number back and it goes to Discover Card.  The lady asked for the cell phone number and she checked it and said she did not show it in their system.  Don't know if they are looking for someone or trying to get you to take a Discover Card.  I have never had a Discover Card and don't want one either.  Will file a formal complaint if it continues.

801-902-2938 this # calls like 3 x a day now for the past week. They left a message the very 1st time and said that this was for my brother and if i could have him call them and just hung up. I live 1200 miles away from my brother and once a month we text to each other and that's the only contact we have. I want to know why they are calling me for him and how the hell did they get my # since I am on the do not c all number! This is harassment and I will talk to a lawyer about it!

I just bought this new cell phone a few weeks ago and so this is a new phone number for me. I do not have a Discover card, so the company must be trying to contact another person. Please stop calling this phone number.

its discover calling to ask if you want to increase your minimum automated monthly payment
so that you don't go to collections. its not a collections call, its not some secret democratic ploy
to convert the u.s. to socialism or some other silly notion. just answer if you have a discover card.

Yes they are discover card. they take way too long to respond. I feel inclined not to pay my card just for that. Image, all my late fees are going are paying their staff members to harass me. Discover Card sucks a$$.

Had three calls from them Monday on my cell phone before I checked and saw people saying it was Discover. Yesterday morning around 8, I answered, asked for someone I never heard of, told them it was the wrong number. Today they called at 9 asking for the same person, this time they read my number and asked if I knew this person, I said no. Bet they'll still call back later.

The thing is that NOT all of Utah is Mormon like you are claiming plus Discover outsources to other states and countries like most places.  Don't assume just because a state has a high mormon population that the entire company is populated by them.

LOL. I don't answer phone call #'s I do NOT recognize coming in on my cell phone, anymore! I knew when I got this call earlier today at 10:20am & AGAIN at 1:47pm ( 9-22-2010) It was some annoying company~ DISCOVER Card! The second time they called, ironically, I was sifting through this site: 800notes.com to investigate & review these postings & I answered phone & immediately hung up on them b4 they had a chance to say or do anything! They call me EVERY day 7 days a week. I got a call at 8:00 on a SUNDAY MORNING on my cell phone from them. I do not have a discover card! Never leave a message just call 8000 times a dayl How do I get this [***] to stop!

i live in ny they called me 3 times a day and everytime i tell them u have the wrong number theres no frank here they still call back the lady today said shes taking my number out lets see what happens

Calls everyday. These calls are unwanted.

Dont ever answer these calls and dont ever give your payment information over phone they will rob you blind.  They are bogus collections and will take your money and non will go to the credit card.

Tried to work with them but their phone calls came at 8 thru 15 a day. I had to change my number I could not. Keep up with the phone bill. I wanted. To put money toward my bill but they ran me out.

Actually each state has seperate laws in regards to fdcpa. It is a violation to record a call in some states regardless if a debt is owed. The consumer has to agree to the recording of the call. Also these companies are on an automatic dialer system and they are ot allowed to call more than 3 times a day. If they talk to someone or leave a message then the calls should stop for a few days.

I am receiving 6 to 10 calls every day from this number to my cell phone number.  I initially answered it but no one responded.  Since my cell phone plan is pay as you go, each time I answer it costs so I have stopped answering, but their calls have only increased.  I have also placed my cell phone number on the no call list but it hasn't helped.
