They wanted to know if I was Patricia Burks, and wanted me to verify my Birth Date, to discuss personal information.

Did they say anything else? I have started receiving harassing calls from this number as well. Callers name is Dannielle and you can here a call center in the background. I refuse to give her information until she can tell me why she is calling just says its a personal matter.

Legit companies will ALWAYS give you their company name, personal name, and reason for the call (at least person they are looking for, etc.).

NEVER give anyone any personal information UNLESS you know the caller personally and/or you called them first. If they will not identify their company name, etc., before asking you questions, then they should be considered a scammer.

All cold calls should be treated as a scam now.

If you are the person they are looking for, they should still answer ALL your questions first before you do anything more than say you are "so & so". If they start asking YOU for birth dates, SS #, or any other personal or financial info, and will not answer your questions - NO MATTER WHAT THEIR REASON FOR NOT ANSWERING THEM - then simply hang up and report them to the FTC. Any legit company will answer all questions you have BEFORE asking you questions. Only scammers will refuse to do this and say you must answer personal questions first. This applies for all cold calls you receive.

Call came in at 9pm?! No message was left. I researched and there are many complaints against this company.

I got a call from them twice, caller wanting to speak to someone that was not me, then asked, "just to verify, your date of birth isn't 'blah blah' " I sort of laughed and said no that isn't me! She said she would take my number off her list! Call center ppl have the most crappiest attitudes I have ever heard! I call blocked this number from my phone, I don't want calls at 9p.m. anymore!
