1st message said lawsuit and arrest; 2nd call said they were an IRS officer and we'd be arrested for tax evasion if we didn't call.  I called from a business phone & they did answer IRS and said they were an audit office.

My wife's cellphone voicemail was left a message demanding that she call this number, as she was subject to arrest under a Federal warrant for 5 criminal allegations.  The people perpetrating this foul actions should be arrested for making harassing and threatening calls.  I really pity the poor elderly persons that are terrified by a call like this.  Grab these criminals, convict them throw them in jail and throw away the key.

Received same call. I played stupid for a half hour. They wanted me to go to Walmart and wire them $6500.00. When they finally got sick of my stupid questions I was asking, the guy said "enjoy your holidays behind bars" and hung up. Now they are calling me again today. I asked them why nobody showed up to arrest me yesterday.  These people are the scum of the earth and should be locked up!!!

I repeat 804-212-2896. Now if you don't return the call then the only thing that I can do is wish you good luck."

Same Modus Operandi as all the others. I hope reporting this will result in an arrest for attempted fraud.

I called the number back and there was no answer.  Then they called me back saying that there were warrants and that I was going to be arrested.  The number they called from was 1-800-829-1040.  When I googled that is a number for the IRS on the IRS.gov website.  They asked me for my attorneys name and contact number.  I am going to follow up with the IRS to provide this information to them to clarify.

This number called me today.  An automated voice said I had 5 warrants out for my arrest and the police would show up shortly to pick me up.  Knew it was bogus as we don't have any tax issues.  But at first it did give me the dropsies.  These criminals should be prosecuted.

I got a message from them; called them back and told them to take my name off their list and stop calling me.  The guy's reply:  "Listen [***], you called me, you're getting arrested" then he hung up.

Got the same call; it was so obviously bogus that we had a good laugh listening to their message.
We thought the "if you don't return the call then the only thing that I can do is wish you good luck" at the end was a nice touch. LOL
These idiots are obviously first-class losers.

Christmas eve day, 9:15 am : same 'dialogue' re IRS audit and criminal charges & arrest etc.......did not call number back, as I know I do not have an IRS issue and have not received any communication through mail contact which I believe real IRS would normally send a letter in mail first notifying of a potential tax issue.    Yes, beware such call, especially on Christmas Eve am, obviously scamming for $$.

The call was automated and the party said that I was being investigated for 5 outstanding warrants and that local law enforcement agencies would soon be here to arrest me.  The automated caller identified herself as Kristi Smith.
