- jennthey called and hung up after a couple of rings. my home line is a new number and no one has it, so i'm not sure how they got the number.
- D ClarkJust called to claim that I won a trip to Costa Rica after entering in a Wal-Mart/Target contest, than told me to press 1 to accept. Then a guy by the name of James answered the phone, so I hanged up. I know that Target and Wal-Mart are two different companies, whom I highly doubt would contract the same contest company.
- Caller: Unknown
- tb| 1 replyWallyMart/Target contest, trip to Costa Rica. Call appears to tie up phone until message is completed or accepted. Hung up several times but message was still being read by woman. Finally got rid of message but dial tone was busy tone for a few more seconds; then got dial tone. I'm in Saskatchewan.
- Caller: out of area
- Call type: Unwanted
- SP replies to tbI'm in Saskatchewan and also got it a minute ago. Googled the number fast and didn't answer. I hate telemarketers!!
- RPHad call a while ago. Automated voice declaring I had entered or a friend had entered my name at either a Bloomingdales, Target or Wal-Mart and I had won a trip to ??? Hung up at that point. Last time I followed through and dialed 1 caller was in Virginia. This number is a Virginia USA area code.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- NikitaI'm in Saskatchewan as well, and our landline was hooked up today. This call was the SECOND call on our line, the first was my boyfriend testing the line. I can't believe it, this is the exact reason we disconnected our old line 6 months ago.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- classactionI was called this morning by this number - I didn't answer. I've had that idiotic Macy's, Bloomingdales call dozens or hundreds of times over the last year or so - maybe not always from the same number. I'm in Metro Vancouver. Why don't we all log these calls, and then contact our Members of Parliament with our evidence? I think if the phone companies that deliver this crud into our homes were made to take some of the responsibility for it, there would be a lot less phone spam.
- LadyBelleI am in Regina Saskatchewan and received a call from 1 804 234 9001 on Feb 6 at 4:19. No one answered this call.I also hate telemarketers.
- Fone BillNo message
- JasonJust got a call from this number. More VoIP spam. Sounded like a health insurance scam.
Let's start complaining folks - this time they're using Nationsline VoIP - NationsLine's Complaints number: (877) 879-5988 - samcalled and hung up after i answered
- Caller: Direct National

- Char E.Call came in on Feb. 11th in the afternoon, let machine pick up. Was something about winning a trip. Did not listen to the rest of the message. I have not entered any contest at Wal Mart or at any other store. This seems like a scam.
- Char E.Did some looking , found some info, did reverse phone number look up . This number is in a residential area . Checked the virtual earth map. Who ever is running this scam is doing it from their home.
- MickThis was the first of two similar calls today. The thing is - whoever actually has THIS number may be totally innocent. The caller may have made it appear on your caller ID instead of his own. It's happened before that people are contacted that marketing calls are originating from thier phone onluy to find out that they are victims, too.
The other one that calls us a lot, too, is "SUMMIT CORP".
Tip - when you answer the phone, only say "Hello" once. If it's an automated call, like this one was, it'll fool thier auto caller into thinking you're an answering machine and it will hang up. Then there is no record of the call. If you say "Hello" twice, it will still hang up usually, but it will make a record that someone is home. Then a live salesperson can be notified and call you. Or it may make a record of the day/time that you are home so they can sell the list of "hot prospects" to telemarketers.- Caller: none
- KevinThis is the well known "vacation prize+ scam". I watched a news report on these calls, It is illegal and there have been arrests made in similar cases where the people answering have been charged $200 or more per minute.
- Call type: Valid
- Hoof HeartedThey called me too. So I called the number back and
keyed in # 2 to have them remove my number from their
calling list. The recording comfirmed my number was removed.
Also worth noting, for those of you that have just rec'd
a new rez line and number: these fricker fracker telemarketers
have an automated dialing number combo system.
Happy Valentine's Day!- Caller: Target/Walmart holiday prize
- TanishaJust got a call from them too. Did not answer. This web site is great.
- wolfclanI followed the directions and am still getting these calls
