I had 3 calls in one day.  one from amber knight, one from david wells and the last one sounded like he was smoking a joint by the name of chad something or another.  I couldn't catch it. As per the FDCPA, once a debt collector is told to never call a number again, they legally may NOT ever call that number again. If they do, they can face a lawsuit in which the individual debt collector can be responsible for up to $1,000 of the lawsuit depending on the collection agency.

Some B***H Amber Knight that uses multiple numbers when they call.  They don't even say who the call is for.  Obvisouly, its a script they read!

I have been getting this message for two or three weeks now.  Not only have three different people left messages with this number above, but also number 757-204-6334, same message, and 540-369-3052 again same message.  They do not say my name to whom they wish to speak to,  they just start speaking about puliminary paperwork and they need a statement blah blah blah, I have never answered, nor called back, but I have taped them and still have them on the recorder.  I do not have any debt in collection.  But I like the idea of putting something on craigslist and using their number.  I'm glad I checked this out.  Thanks for your feedback.

These people are driving me crazy!  The keep calling me about a relative who apparently has given my name as a reference.  They act as though you are a criminal.  When I returned their phone call they just asked if I knew so and so.  Would not give me any information at all but knew my name.  How can you stop these people from harassing you?  Today, I called and got some guy and I asked him the name of the company and he said what number did they call, etc., etc.  I asked what do y'all do and he said we process paperwork.  I asked what kind of paperwork.  He said I can't tell you within a number.  I said do y'all have a license and he said what does that have to do with anything and I said everything.   I told him not to take an attitude with me and he said I was.  I said I just asked you a simple question.  Told me to have a good day and hung up on me.

I've been getting calls from various numbers with this same scam for about a month now. Same deal every time, different people and phone numbers all claiming they have "paperwork" on their desk they "need" me to go over with them or "paperwork" or "files" they "need" to send me. Refusal to identify their company or the specific person they're trying to reach, despite my outgoing message that says to do just that if you expect a return call.

As such, I refuse to retrun their calls.

Tracked down a company, CKS Financial, that's known for doing this, and will likely send them a cease and desist letter soon.

Just got 'em again. They've slowed down from calling every weekday to one or two calls a week. I hope that means they're starting to give up.

I have people calling me, for a person with the same name, who used to live in my town, now they google the guy's name and my info comes up, and once you square it with one of these scum bags, they sell it to another, and it just goes on and on.  I not only get phone calls for this guy, I also receive his bills in the mail, to include his child support invoices, collection agencies, and even correspondence from the IRS.  However, its the phone calls that bother me the most, they call at all hours of the day and night.

I have found the answer to all these annoying calls, it's called the Call Blocker, and it works great. I was looking for the solution to these phone calls, for years, and this is the best solution I have found yet. I bought mine on ebay, and it works like a champ.

Scammy debt collectors. They "somehow" got my information from HSBC Bank to report an open collections case for a credit card bill that I had paid off in full 2 years ago. When I told them to refer back to HSBC for a detailed list of my records, they said they were "unable" to do that. The woman then started to get extremely nasty and said she would leave my account open with a note that I "refused to pay." I called back and left a message stating that the debt had been satisfied in full, and should they continue to call back, I would return their call with my lawyer and a representative from my local bank on conference call to inquire as to how they retrieved that information and why they needed to know my personal bank info. That was pretty much the end of it. Sometimes they'll call sporadically, but I just don't answer.

That information is partially untrue. In order to make them not contact you, you must send a cease and desist letter. Telling them over the phone does not count as there is no verification that the conversation ever happened and even if it is recorded, there is no way to prove who the conversation was between. This is why a certified letter must be sent. After they receive the letter, they may contact you one further time to let you know they will not be contacting you and what steps they plan to take over the debt. At that point most collections companies will either take you to court or sell the debt to yet another debt collector and you would have to start again.

ThIs company employs a lot of low life people, they operate under assumed names and they also change their phone numbers (see below list), and also Spoof numbers on your caller ID. Real Creeps. Here's the lay of the land as they say, I work in the court system so I will go thru this for you .

First they are calling because they say they can not find you. This is Crap as the sheriff, will NEVER, EVER call you to tell you they are coming. They live to work on the element of surprise. Plus if your township, county etc, wants you, they already know where you are, so sit tight.

Second, and most important, NEVER CALL these low life bottom feeders back.  Because truth be known they don't care who they talk to as long as they can get money from SOMEONE!!!!  It doesn't even have to be the right person. If you call them back then they know that they have a real tangible working phone number that they can call to harass you all the time of day and night.  Just ignore the call, or better yet, tag them as a spam call in your phone, and you'll never even see them ring it.

Third, these people function and live on the *Fear factor* they will say anything,  tell you anything to get you to give them the money thru your checking account, debit card or credit card.  Many people get scammed this way. I've heard : coming to your workplace to arrest you, serving you in the morning if you don't call by a certain time, attaching your salary, etc, etc, this is all nothing but crap.

Fourth, in most states payday loans are ILLEGAL as they charge obnoxious interest, and states are trying desperately to control that.  Since I'm not sure of what state anyone is in, I cannot site them all here, but if you go to your states attorney general page, you should be able to look up the laws.

Fifth, I know it sounds nice to send them a letter or report them, but this is a futile. They have got this to a science.  With all that is going on in court system they know they have time on their side.  Not enough of these low life bottom feeders get caught and prosecuted, if they did...they wouldn't still be in business, but they are, thousands of them.

Lastly, anyone who posts that you are scum or a deadbeat PAY YOUR BILLS , OR OMG  they came to my place of work and arrested me, are full of crap , probably work for the company and are just trying to SCARE you, SEE MY THIRD NOTE Above, Fear factor.

Best thing to do in this case, especially with these people is TO IGNORE. Eventually when no one engages with them they will go away to torment someone else.

Received call at 15:17 from female wireless number, per caller ID, who leaves a voicemail message identifying herself  as "Miss Allen" and states "papers have just come across her desk"  in matter concerning un-named party in household, requests call back so we have opportunity to give input on matter.  I did not call back, as have received numerous calls with same general message from male and female callers, some from 757 area code. Never do they identify a company name or nature of call/urgent matter.

"My" paperwork has been just appearing on their desks for months now. And their are multiple people with multiple phone numbers who apparently keep getting this mysterious paperwork. I say mysterious because no one knows my name or address but seem intent on finding it out. They can all collectively kiss my rosy reds, because I have no intent on dealing with any of them. They won't tell me where they're calling from or who they're calling for, and that's the way it's going to remain.

when I read the name Amber knight, I knew who it was...CKS financial trying to collect a debt... I owe none & have not used any credit for over 10 years...

Received a call from this number this morning stating we owed the IRS money and that they had sent us two notifications in the mail.  Never received any notification and we don't owe the IRS anything.
