- Karen Kennedy| 2 repliesI am so angry that people would call and say that they are the IRS and demand that they call back or I will be arrested. I work hard for my money as a single lady and am offended that people would try and front as the IRS and steal my hard earned money. Leave me alone!!!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - AngieWe just received a call from this idiot. First, he says he is an officer that works for the tax audit department of the IRS and then he says we owe a claim and in order to avoid being arrested we need to call them back. I can hear a bunch of others in the background making the same calls. That is not how the IRS works and I really worry about the people who may fall for this, such as the elderly. They need to be arrested! I know they got our name out of the phone book because of how he addressed our name, which is wrong in the phone book. What a loser!
- IrritatedJust received a message on our voicemail from this jerk for my deceased father in law. Good luck arresting him! And, work on your accent! Speak English for goodness sakes.
- RobertThese morons contacted us as well, get a clue that the IRS does not arrest people. Sad to realize that you can get up everyday and screw people out of their money. I hope you all rot in hell, (Adam Wilson) who speaks as though he is from New Dehli, India.
- CynAnother fear tactic scam. They claim to be an officer and threaten that a warrant has or will be issued for your arrest. Heavily accented. I hope people don't fall for this.
- Another oneHe called my mom today, even the elderly are smart enough not to buy into that.
- Caller: Phishing irs
- Melanie| 1 replyI got the same message from Kevin Smith saying that this was the IRS Federal Claims courts and we needed to call back or we would be arrested.
- Call type: Debt collector
- mary replies to MelanieI don't understand why these people are not in jail, isn't this harrassment?
