telephone scam about irs needing me to stay on line, they need me or my attorney

Today, June 22:
I had a voicemail. It was hard to understand. Below is what I could make out:
??? receive this message, I need you or your ??? attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Officer Eric Foster and hot line to my division is 804-724-5061. I repeat, 804-724-5061. Now, if you don't return the call and if I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is ??? wish you good luck as the situation ??? falls on you. Thank you.

It sounded like someone else was in the background, especially at the end of the voicemail.

They said they needed my number and wanted to speak w/ my lawyer

I got the same call as Gee

I got the call...she said her name was Aquifer and I needed to call her or have my attorney call.  If not I will suffer dire consequences?

Just got the same call as Gee-- weird voice -- same exact wording.. what i could tell anyway

Same message to me today.

I just got the same call and they said that if i don't return the call the law enforcement will come for me .

I had that exact same message twice today. I knew immediately it is a scam. I hope they do not call again because it's bordering on harassment.

Received 2 calls with an Indian accented voice one male one sounded female. Saying on the voicemail if I or my attorney do not return the call they can only wish me luck as they will come after my situation. Person said they were Officer Eric Foster. Any time we tried to call back it's an automatic busy signal.

Received a voicemail a few hours ago with the same message above. It's obviously a scam and incredibly annoying.

Same exact wording. She claimed HER name as officer Erick Foster. Bs because irs does not call or people. They communicate by mail

I had the exact same call today as well.

Got this same message on my voicemail today. Verbatim. Blocked this caller.

Just had the same situation occur twice today. Left a voice mail stating she needed to speak with my attorney and she was IRS. As the earlier post stated it is a scam the IRS does not communicate via phone but via registered US Mail. People beware and it is annoying.
