Female voice, said her name is  Lorell and claimed to be a property investigator for the state of California. She claimed to have info on an account for a person who seems to be my relative and, with the value purportedly just over $10,000, wanted me to call them to help me retrieve the money for my relative or his estate.

We received a similar call around 1pm PST today, from a person also saying her name is Lorell, claiming to be a property investigator for the state of California who claimed to have info on an account for a relative.

Same message as above, same person - calling for the State of California!

I received the same call, and the person she refers to does exist. However, this information is available for free directly from the state of California, so I believe she may be offering her services for a fee. I did not return her call.

I just received the same call from Lorell. I don't have a relative she named.

Also received a similar call today, from a person also saying her name is Lorell claiming to be a property investigator for the state of California and she was asking how to get in touch with a relative

I also received this call.  she was calling to say that my daughter has unclaimed property.  My daughter does have unclaimed property and has already filed with the state to get it back.  i believe the caller would like to charge a fee to get it back.

Yes same thing happened to me. I’m on disability. And needed that money so bad.
