An unwanted call from this Newbury Park cell number arrived today.  When the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space.  Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) do this all the time while trolling the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.

The website www.whitepage.com describes this number as "suspected spam."  I'm sooooooo surprised!!!!!

I run a business in the Conejo Valley so I answered. A woman was on the other end and asked for me by name and asked 'Are you the homeowner?'

Called the house and said my name and then hung up. Tried calling back but they turned off their cell phone.

Received an incoming call from this phone number 5/23/17 at 3/15 p.m. PST.  Showed as United States call.  When I answered the phone a man asked if this is Mrs. ____ and I said yes.  He hung up.  I called the number back and received a message that the caller has not set up a voice mailbox.  Not sure if this is part of the "YES" scam, if these callers have the property address and are trying to determine if someone is home so they can rob the house, if they are trying to find out if it's a number that will be answered and they sell it, spammer, telemarketer, or what.....  Since my landline was forwarded to my cell phone I'm unsure which number they called. Based on the other posts, it appears they are calling land lines.  If anyone else receives calls from this number, please try to include as many details as possible from your experience.  This is scary.  Not sure if this can result in id theft, unauthorized charges to accounts, fraud, etc.  I'm trying to research what to do when this happens since I answered "yes" and shouldn't have. If anyone has helpful information on what to do please share!  UGH!

Unfamiliar number so I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. That's usually the telltale sign of a spam caller.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone. Person said he's from the "Home Center" and asked to speak to me (had my name). I replied "no" and hung up. Number now blocked.

This person asked for a specific person and when asked who is calling? He spoke vulgarities on the phone and we hung up. Most likely a disgruntled telemarketer or spam artist. Beware!

Received a call from this number but did not answer it. Went to voicemail and they hung up. Blocked!

Got a call, someone with attitude asked "Are you a home owner?" said "No" , he hung up. Blocked with extreme call blocker app.

Called and left no message. They have been blocked.

I keep getting calls from this number.  Last time I answered a man called me by name and shouted vulgarities.

Missed the call; no message was left.

Have received several calls from this number and others very similar so just don't answer a number I don't recognize. If they leave a message it's easy to return call. Block those who don't. A nuisance for sure but think once you answer one call you're likely to get many more.

Multiple calls from this number.  Whispering​ in a very creepy way very vulgar things. Hung up.

Mess with this caller if they contact you. It's a scam and they like to talk crap. Fight fire with Fire. Next time they call, I'm hoping to set up an in person meeting ;]

Just got 4 phone calls from this phone number on my cell phone within 3 minutes. Did not leave a message, though it went to voicemail the first time.  BLOCKED!
