Call asking for one resident by name. Identified himself as "Roberto". When asked to state why
he needed to speak to someone here, he said he did construction work and painting. Our
reply was that he had cold-called a DNC listed phone and we were not interested.
He continued to talk about his business (un-named) even after we told him not to call
again. PEST.

Yep, the "Home Center" has spoofed another number.  Asked what work I wanted done around house.  Slim bag asked for me by name.  BLOCK IT!

I answered, and there was no response before they hung up. I called back and ofcourse their voicemail service had not been set up.

ID was Wireless Caller and ROBO / Scam call detection service disconnected them after 1 ring!

The cid showed "wireless caller" and phone number 805-341-8198.  Left no message.  Now blocked.

Don't answer.  Block it.  Hide your money.

We finally blocked the entire 805 area code!  This call was blocked BEFORE they robo-dialed our phone number.
Our phones did not ring - not even once.
Please purchase a blocker or the Panasonic phone that blocks 250 numbers.

10:59 AM - I disconnected the call, then blocked it.

Called at 12:30pm today. Left no message. Caller ID "Wireless Caller". Today is Sunday!!! These people are really scum!! Based on comments above, number is now blocked.

The caller, WIRLESS CALLER ( displayed as ID on our phone.), called us @ 10:55 A.M., 03.15.2016. We opted not to answer "unwanted call on the spot" per www.ftc.gov ( www.donotcall.gov. ) suggestion & If we answer, the actual caller will get pay from employed. I received many phone calls from 805-341-xxxx ( My c-phone mid 3 digit is 341 too. ).
.I returned the call hiding our number 1 hour later, I heard a lady message: The person has a mail box not set up yet.". Yes, mail box is full or not set up yet. According     https://800notes.com above, many people reported this unwanted number since 03.09.2016.

Called again this afternoon - BLOCKED FOREVER.
Our phones did not ring - not even once.

805 area code is Ventura County, CA.  I wouldn't block the whole area code if you know anyone who might live there.  It's a nice place.  My mother-in-law lives there as do several friends, and they are good people.  Artsy town, Ventura.  It also includes Ojai, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, and Simi Valley, among a few others.  One [***] calling you does not spoil the entire area code.

The dumb guy said, my name is Joe - and I work for a remodelling co. This is the 4th scam today - all with different phone numbers - and dummies on the other end.

Caller left no message.  Based on the above, this number is now blocked.

A call from this Thousand Oaks cell number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message.  Several posters have unmasked the caller as a scam home improvement contractor (probably unlicensed) who is cold-calling numbers in direct violation of the Do Not Call law.

The scumbag even has the impudence, temerity, and bad manners to phone my neighbor, Tiger, Ventura County (see above).  Tiger has the good sense not to answer the call, and neither should you.

DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM.  DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.

Those of us in the 805 thank you for your love. 805 also covers San Luis Obispo county. Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Solvang, etc. Lots of little cities full of great people. Maybe the 805 blocker needs to come visit & soak up some fresh air & sunshine.

I only half agree with yours and DOH!'s posts..  A lot of illegal cold callers, and the home of the Corona Cabal that was busted.. thats a lot of calls out of Ca, but its happening in all states!  If one does not have friends , relatives and/or business there one does not need to number block only!  It also does not mean people won't come to visit. Been back there to CA many times over the years and went to Disney!

But face it, those illegal callers, scammers and thieves do ruin a lot for people! The truth hurts sometimes! I know there's illegal calls here in my state also going out! On those I block by the number only!
