Someone called. I called back, just hear music. Some sort of a scam

Got a phone call from this number, I answered the call and heard the automated voice start "Congratulations, your number has been selected. Press one now to collect your prize".   I dropped the call.

Just got the same call in Toronto from this number. I too hung up?

I got a call from this # last night.

got a call from this number too... called it back and there was only music playing... didn't listen for long and hung up.... what is this?

Saw this # on my phone as it was ringing. Since I'm a cheapo on a pay and talk plan, and this was a long distance call from 809 area code, that I didn't recognize, I put the phone on silent, and didn't answer. Don't answer the phone, especially if it's from an area code you don't recognize

Also got a call from another number yesterday about my car warranty expiring.. press 1..

Possibly because number is publicly listed on FACEBOOK?

Received call from 805-409-2893 on my prepaid cell from this number. Did not recoginze this long distance number so did not answer.

I also recieved a call on my Alberta cell phone from this number.  Ignored it.

This number called my ontario cell phone. I didn't answer for the because it said it was from california. I'm glad I checked here. If they call back I won't answer. Also got a call from another number a few days back about my car warranty expiring.. I hung up a few seconds in

Shut down this number.  This is a spam and cost me money.

this # called me earlier today. i didn't answer. i used canada411 and found that it is a cell# from thousand oaks, california.

Got this call, and when I called back, it just played music.. so I hung up

This is the first marketing call I've received on my cell phone in 4 years.  My number is also publicly available on Facebook.

This number has called my cell phone in Ontario a few times and they hung up. I too tracked it back to California. Plus, I've also been getting frequent call about my car warranty from 416 000-1673.

I got a call from this number on my cell... it's some type of scam.

nobody.  I use my phone as emergency only, not sure how they got my number.
