Answered by mistake.  Sounded like busy call center.  He said it was some courtesy call for homeowners in our area.  Blah

805-430-1909 called and did not leave a message.

Jerk calling offered savings on my electric bill.  Said he was "associated" with Los Angeles DWP.  Asked if he was a DWP employee and he hung up.  Blocked.

Forgot to mention, reason I answered was because thought I recognized the number.  No caller ID name, but did list location of call as Lompoc, CA.

clever -- my hometown listed on display ( Lompoc ) but prefix of 430 is not in town.

Scammer on electric saving program

I live on the central coast of California. This male caller was reading from a script, very expressionless and difficult to understand. But I made out that he claimed he was calling from PG&E, our local electrical service. He said something about showing me how to lower my PG&E bills. I hung up and blocked the number. I've received this call 2 or 3 times before, but always from a different number. When he called, I was adding a message to this website about a call I had received from another scammer not 5 minutes before. I'm well over 20 blocked calls now in the past 4 weeks.
