this number keeps calling me about a Trojan virus,but when I tried to call back they would not answer the phone,and they claim they are from Microsoft,yet micro soft does not reconized this number,so is this number frud?

MSFT tells you that they will never call you. Caller says to press 1 for help.  Suggest not to do anything.  I experience is that they will run a scan and tell you that the computer is infected.  If you allow the scan they will want a large payment to remove the virus and might lock your computer.

This place called here three times without much time in between saying Microsoft had detected unusual activity on our computer,  warning not to do any bank transitions and to call them to get help removing Trojan virus.  Claimed to be Microsoft.

I wasn't sure if it was legit, so I figured it doesn't hurt to hang up and investigate. And here we are, again. If it was legit, they wouldn't be using a robot and they'd identify themselves in a better way.

Just got called from this number - now they are Norton AntiVirus and I just paid them almost $ 200 (they say, I did not).

Got email or text saying they charged me $200 for security services to call back to this number if I didn’t agree.

They left a message confirming that $199 will be charged to my bank account to activate my membership, I don't have any membership with any club and so far they haven't charge anything, they don't specify where are they calling from as well ????

said bill sent to credit car company for amazon services.  no bill sent.  reported to credit card company.  no amazon service.

I was emailed more then once. they said to cancel a Microsoft I will have to connect my computer and when I said no they hung up. they also have this number 833-226-1496
