- Lax C| 3 repliesI was just scammed by Olivia Jefferson, i was going to buy a 2008 toyota camry from her. she said her and the car is located in omaha, nebraska. i looked it up it says she lives on an air force base. but i wanted a refund of my money and now the ebay support number i called is being very rude, keeps hanging up, and wont give me her name. i will be filing a complaint with ic3.gov and with ftc. i advise you all to do the same that way something has to be done.

- StanThe gift card scam with eBay cards is out of control. Or is it? I don't think eBay is trying to stop it, because they get the money. When you buy the card, that money goes to eBay. On the back of the card, it says the money can only be spent on goods from eBay. That means they have the name of the person who buys good with the cards. When a eBay executive was questioned about the statement on the card, she went into an explanation that did not fit what the card said. They don't want to face the facts. They get the money, and they know all about the scam. All the people here, should contact eBay, and ask that they get their money back, because eBay has known all along their cards are being abused. Take the cards off the market. Too many people are getting hurt.

"Margare"t was asking me to send the money up front cause she got the car shipped to omaha NE so if i make a purchase she will send me the car free shipping and let me inspect it for 5 days then send the money to her. That was then first agreement so i kept asking her for her contact info to speak with her verbally before i just trust what someone saying in my email... Then she sent another message back saying to send the money up front to her on ebay because she cant trust what people are saying she gave me details on how it worked knowing me i been waiting on her to call hrs go by then she sent another message saying she military base blah blah and her husband advice her to use ebay etc but the converstation wasnt sitting right to me...
