Got an email today saying I purchased $500.00 in McAfree protection - which I didn't.

Me too.  I'm 99.9% sure it's a scam since they don't say which bank account they're pulling money from.  I think they expect me to call back and fill in those blanks for them.  Not going to happen

got an email, supposedly from McAfee, saying 499.99 was sucessfully debited from my checking account  .... but it would take time to appear ...   call  1-805-619-5657 with questions.                                               SCAM

I got the same thing. It's definitely a scam. Do not engage!

I called the number in the email. The guy on the phone said they will reimburse my money if I give them my bank account info (because that's how they were going to "ensure the deposit"). When I wouldn't give him the info, he put me on the phone with his "manager" who told me if I didn't give them my info today, that I would not be eligible for a refund and they would block my number and flag my account.

Received email today stating that McAfee would be taking $499.99 out of my checking account.

Received an email today stating that my account had been billed $269 for my Geek Squad subscription. Of course it doesn't tell me what account they billed.
