They called pretending to be from Verizon. Said a Txt message was comming in to repeat the new temparary password. Sounded weird so I just told them that I couldn't understand them so I was just going to call Verizon direct and see what its about. The Verizon customer service rep said they would never ask to repeat a temperary password at all or even send one out of random. There for it is some kind of HACKER/ SCAM.

Same as above. Call originated from Moorpark. Female caller said Verizon was updating the 4G network and they were checking to make sure no outages on my end. Caller prompted for zip code and then informed me that a text message was being sent to my phone. Password Reset inquiry text was sent to phone with temp password. Caller asked for temp password. Uh, No! Called Verizon to inform of shenanigans.

They got me today, stole my phone number and downloaded to another phone.
Trying to figure out who other than Verrizon fraud I can report the number to.

They got me today as well. I told Verizon and they blocked my online account but she had already changed my password and secret question. If you find out, let me know who else I can call. I called the number back and heard the voice of the woman that called me. Didn't know what to say to her so I just hung up. How brazen is she!!!

Happened to me today.  Call from Moorpark saying they were doing maintenance and was my phone working ok.  I just hung up.

How can these people not be behind bars?  These calls are trackable....

Call the local police department and file a complaint.
