806-590-7967  "Mike"    Same thing. Unlisted number, they wanted me to run something on my computer.  Did NOT do it.  How else can I report these scammers?!

I received a call from this number from someone speaking very broken English, claiming to be from Microsoft.  Saying that I have issues with my computer and it could "crash at any time".  They have called me REPEATEDLY over the past few days.  The number comes up as out of area on my caller id.  The number the man gave me was 806-590-7967.  Microsoft DOES NOT call people without you contacting them, so I KNOW it isn't Microsoft.  Hate Scammers!  ERRRR!

I received a call from this number. They said they were from microsoft. Claimed they were receiving error reports from my computer. Wanted to let them login to it and trouble shoot.  If you get a call from these guys, report them to the Federal Trade Commission  877-382-4367

Report these guys to the Federal Trade Commission  877-382-4367.  I just got one of their scam calls and reported it.

I got this call, too, from "Microsoft Support". Happened to be a day when my laptop is having problems. I didn't let him log in because I wasn't comfortable with that, thank goodness. Glad to see all the good info on this web site.

call from noname, it was rick with an indian accent who called saying he was from MS windows technical support and that there was something wrong with my computer and he would help me fix it.  I would not give him any info, just to say I would call him back.  spoke with a geek friend who said rick wanted to hack into my computer.  same scam as reported by Stan 9 Jun 2013

I just received a call from this number indicating they were with Microsoft and that my computer was sending them error messages and they were going to help me by telling me how to fix my computer.  I advised the individual that I would call him back.  Individual spoke very broken English said his name was Rick and he could be called back at 806-590-7967.   Beware not sure what information they might use if you give the computer information they are requesting!!!

The so-called Microsoft tech workers called me at 9:30pm and tried to tell me they received reports that I was hacked.  I played along with the guy who spoke very broken english.  He of'course was only too happy to give me a number to call him back and even gave me his employee #.  I kept acting stupid by saying I didnt understand what keys I was suppose to hit.  I brought up the page that supposedly showed errors.  He was so confused that mine had no warnings.  Tried to tell me that someone in New York had hacked the number.  Asked if I knew anyone in New York.  NOPE.  He was speechless.  LOL!  After letting him know I have security on my computer that would have detected these problems sooner again he was speechless.  Tried to validate himself by having me call him.  Like I was ever going to give him information on my computer.  Especially when he claims my computer was registered with them and I never follow through with that type stuff.  Thank God I am not gullible

"Rex" called me yesterday with the Microsoft tech support ruse. Indian accent and very convincing pitch. When they wanted remote access I realized it was a scam. BEWARE!!

I have also received a phone call from this number asking me to turn-on my computer as they (Micorsoft) have detected numerous error messages regarding the use of my machine.  I cannot see these messages but they can and are calling me to help repair the problem.  checked with Microsoft to learn that this number is a scam and to ignore the caller.

I am getting calls from "windows technical support'  about to many error messages on my computer. Blah Blah blah , Indian accent, says they are from Texas. When I read some of the scam reports here that are connected to the same number he gave me and use some of the same language in other peoples scam reports he hung up.  I called the number back to see who would answer the phone ( at the Windows company of course ) and the phone was answered hello? Hello?

Seems Bill Gates needs to train up his tech team at the Windows company technical support

this is a well organised scam company they charge money but they never fix computer problems they are scammer...

Indian man called to say I had malware on my machine. Wanted me to go to my machine to look up an exe file to find error. I got the mans name, Martin and his extension, 106. I reported him to Verizon and blocked the number but they have more numbers than I can block. In my experience. Please follow. This up and perhaps you can put a stop to these calls.

Receive call from unknown number. Male with heavy Indian accent. He said they were calling me because my computer had been sending them error messages and they wanted me to follow their instructions and give them information about my computer including my computer ID. He asked if I was in front of my computer and I said I was at work. He wanted to have me call tonight when I am in front of my home computer. He gave me a call back number of 806-590-7967. I was 100% sure this was a scam.

Recieved a call from a man stating he worked for Windows and that they were receiving error messages from my computer and that he would walk me though getting rid of the hacker before my comuter crashes. I told him I wasn't home and that I would get his number and call back when I was. I am glad I am not the only one who found this sketchy and reported it. The man also gave be 903-960-8698 as his personal # to call back on so I didn't have to be bother to be transfered. Also asked since he had my email if he could send an email providing his information and he said then the hacker would see it, my response was you just said they hacked me through my IP address and that I would have to be on my network to fix it, I am at work it should be fine. He said no they would see it because they are monitoring my email. Such a scam.

Just got a call from same. Yes he said his name was Martin.  The scary thing is that he has the serial number of my computer.  Whenhe was trying to direct me to a website called www.fastsupport I hung up on him. This is very upsetting to me.  That someone has details like he has. I almost got sucked in.
