A guy named Michael J Brandt called about donations to a fishing trip arranged by the Police Association.  I asked if he was the police and the fishing lakes being used, he refused to answer since they represent 16,000 cops.

I receive these calls all the time and it is a scam!   There is no Police Association that calls or fishing trip.  No kids involved and will never tell you they are Cops as this would be illegal.

Called first thing in the morning. Did not answer and they never left a message...seems like a scam. I do not know anyone in the 807 area code.

I didn't answer as i don't know anyone in the 807 area code and the caller tried 2 times in 1 min. I also never initiated calls with anyone or any businesses in the 807 area code for a call back.

received a call from this number just now. said their website was pao.ca, looked legitimate with link to the fishing day. he was a little bit pushy with asking me multiple times if i'm ok with making a donation today, and when I said no, he hung up pretty quickly. glad to know that this a scam.

Frontline Support ( http://frontlinesupportinc.com ) calling on behalf of the Police Association of Ontario ( http://www.pao.ca/public_interface_1.php ) looking for donations.  There is a legitmate organization and there is a scam group that poses as the same people.  It's hard to tell the difference because the genuine organization is very pushy and uses dirty (but legal) tricks to get more donations like sending what appears to be an invoice but is actually a donation request form.  As a result, I won't support them.  I don't reward deceitful behaviour.
