This guy has got to be a scam artist and I am going to report him to the HPD. He has been harassing my family with numerous phone call. My aunt said he has been trying to get a hold of me but doesn't want to reveal to her what it is that he wants. So I called yesterday and found out that he was claiming I owe $2346  for the Bank of Hawaii. Records I have shown that these are accounts already closed out and belonged to my deceased mother. So this fool is up to no good.

I just got a phone call from this guy. He was extremely rude and kept dodging my inquiries. He was telling me that he was a collections agency (with no name) and that I owed money to waimea clinic as a copay. I never went to a clinic. As I asked more questions as to what the bill was about, he could not give me the name of the doctor and kept asking how I wanted to pay for it. He also said that if he got the wrong person, how did he know my name and phone number. In the end he told me it would mark my credit and he hung up on me. No collections agency would ever call from a cell phone. And if he was for real he should have been able to produce papers and a name for his agency. And for the record, there is no such thing as waimea clinic on Kauai.  Don't give this guy your info!

Don't be too sure. At ruder agencies the reps may use their mobile devices to keep lawbreaking behavior off the in-house record. Anyway, if your name is really on some account, they have five days to send you a dunning letter. You may be right, that the company is as nonexistent as the debt claim.

Who is this company.  Some kind of scam or something.

He has called my house, my boyfriend , As well as my place of work demanding to speak to me.  HE IS VERY RUDE and i have no idea why he is calling. he said his name is JOE KAM???

Tell "Joe" he has five days to MAIL you a complete notice of validation. Federal regulations are quite clear about the requirements that "Joe" has to follow. He won't follow them. We won't have to wonder why & neither will you.
Invalid & bogus debts are hard to collect. "Joe" knows that. He'll depend on Bluster & BS. Legalities get in the way. If "Joe" can't abide by the FDCPA then "Joe" can take his "Dog & Pony Show" down the road & go back to trying to bilk his cousins.

my experience from the number (808)948-9570 was by the name "Jerry Sato."  He was EXTREMELY rude and was very THREATENING!  He called my cell several times, but did not disclose a name of the company he was representing.
