- Help me 800notes, if possible....| 1 replyHave a question for 800notes.com.... I keep getting these robocalls from phoney Blue Cross and Blue Shield which is filling up my voicemail as they keep leaving messages. I try to block them with my call blocker but they just change their number and leave another message, further filling up my voicemail.
So is it possible for you all to compile all the numbers these scammers use so everyone can take your list and put all the numbers at once in their call blocking apps? That would really be cool of you all to do that because I won't be able to use my voicemail anymore eventually since these scammers keep filling it up faster than I have time to go through and delete the messages. I really don't know what to do about this, they just keep leaving message after message, always with different numbers and it's just getting worse. The Do Not Call registry just doesn't work because these are scam calls.
Thanks for the service you've been providing so far as you've been really helpful.- Caller: Scam callers (not really BCBS)

Spammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings. Consider blocking the latter. Some spammers let it ring for more than 4 times Find an appropriate Special Information Tone (SIT) with a web search. Record that tone as the beginning of your Answering Machine or VM response. The SIT tone supposedly "tells" the calling computer that the phone has been disconnected. Works for quite old computer based dialers, BUT cheap war dialers do not listen for a SIT tone, and try to "talk" to your VM anyway. Also, today's VOIP systems use a different method. Technique How It Works Pros / Cons
* "Unanticipated results" include:- Spammer sharing your number with other spammers.
- Spammer spoofing YOUR number, so it appears on others' Caller IDs (see https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/spoofing-and-caller-id )
