Call comes from an outbound phone bank representing a private book publisher.  Message (real human) refers you to a different number.  If you aren't working on a book, I wouldn't worry about this to much.  If you are, consult an attorney before you commit to a publisher.  If you don't, you'll wish you had.

The caller is iUniverse, a self-publishing company in Bloomington Indiana. Odds are you either asked for info on their website, or someone gave your number to them to not include their own. They are legitimate.

The number belongs to iUniverse- a publishing company for self-publishing authors.

they call me too much . How can I report them or block them?

This number has called my pre-paid cell phone twice in the last hour.  I have not answered because it will cost me to do so.  I have not given my number to any business, I only use the phone for personal use.
A publishing company that works at 9:30 at nite makes me wonder???

Have revieved 2 calls from 812 330 2909, which is a live person - couldnt pronouce my first name correctly - even though its probably the most common name that starts with a C.   She said she received my order for printing order along with my check and gave a bogus check number.   Needs me to call them back at 877-800-5395 x 8131 to find out how I want my check applied to the huge order that I placed.   Sounds too weird.   Called the number from a public phone and a guy answered who pretended he couldnt speak English.

Got a call from this number after 10 p.m. my time. Only rang once each of the two times.

one of their agents was trying to sell one of their publishing packages 1000USD above the regular price for faster publishing. when i told him that im already in cebu, philippines for some researches he asked for a meet up and i didnt know their main office is in the philippines. so i keep on sending my complain to their CS but seems they are friends and they way they talk to me is so insulting. does anyone has any phone number from US office so i can contact and complain about this?

Began talking about a book, and claimed I was Randy Bawls. I told them that they had the wrong number, then they began asking me my name and if I was writing a book. . I told them I am not Randy Bawls and my number is not to be called. Put this in your book www.iuniverse.com/Servicestore/ServiceHome.aspx! You can also put it in your pipe an smoke it also. Reviewed their http://www.iuniverse   on Google and they have some MAJOR issues with credibility...

iUniverse, - Called me before looking for Randy - told them they had wrong number and this # was in the DNC database - No Randy here about a month ago. Today they call leaving me a voice mail as if I were Randy - Sent text to number to stop SPAMMING me   COME ON iUniverse GET A CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  NO RANDY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a phone call (message left) on September 29, 2013. I never called back and was never again called.
I always find it very strange when I called by people from the States and that I do not know or if I never applied to anything with them.
Being on FaceBook now, I should be very careful for such scam or unprofessional calls.

I have my book published by i-universe a few years ago. They would not stop bugging me for marketing my book. I have told them too many times I do not have money to market my book. They still call from time to time to bug me. Today, I received 2 phone calls consecutively, just because I would not pick up the phone. I would like them to stop bugging me.

I inquired about a year ago on the process of publishing should I be serious about writing a book. The person I originally spoke to through e-mail was helpful for what I needed at the time, and now they won't stop calling me.
They called twice back to back from the same number, only to leave a voice mail the second time. This happens on a regular basis... I never answer. They are too pushy.

I also have began getting calls from 812-320-2909 with an Iuniverse Caller id. No message left.

No message is left and the last call was like they were sitting in a bar or a boiler room call operation.

I have dealt with Iuniverse in the past but these two last calls are a disgrace. 812-330-2909 and call was at 5.12 pm pst  07/30/2014 today.

Whether these calls are from Iuniverse are someone posing as this with a goal to harass; I do not know.
