Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so. If its a cell, newer ones have call blocking, others ones you can free call blocking apps for online. Mr. Number is one. Google them and see if one will work on your cells.

Received call today 12:50 pm, had trouble understanding due to heavy accent.  He had my first and last name.  Asked if I had a smoke detector.  I said I did not have time to talk, he said he would call back and I said - don't call back.  Caller Id showed the phone number but name as unknown.  It seems since I re did my numbers on the Federal "Do Not Call List" 6 months ago - I get more calls than before.

Asked if I had a security system and they would called back if I was selected for a new system. I said I wasn't interested and then they hung up

Just received a call from this number saying they were doing a home security survey.  I'm not about to advise strangers on the security of my home.  Told him I wasn't interested and the accented man replied, "F*ck you, man." And hung up on me.

I just got a phone call from 813-267-4000. I am scared to death to answer my calls. Last time I got one, October 18, & another day, they were very upset with me. They scammed me out of $539.00 and they put the money back but are still disputing it. They called 4 or 5 times that day, and when my husband answered, they said "Do you know your wife bought a package off of us"? My husband said, "no, I believe she was scammed". They said and I swear, "F---
Off". I have never heard anyone professional talk like that. This has been going on since June 24. Their number started with 877. If I get another call from 813...., I am 62 and I am changing my number. Good luck to all of you.

Oh yeah, they're taking a survey alright, they're looking for people that don't have a security system so they know which is the best house to rob.  Last time I answered a call from these pricks they asked me if I had a security system.  I told them "Yep, an AR-15 and a bunch of other guns", then hung up and put them on my call-blocker....

This number can [***]. Im sick of them calling as with everyone all of my numbers incuding cells have private numbers dont know how these jerks found them. I have security its called ballbats,rotweillers, an expensive security company, and to top it all off my military husband.The do not call and other complaint list dont work i tried them all. [***] still call. If they r reading this message leave us alone get a life and job and never ever call my home again.

Keeps calling and asking about a alarm system.

They have been calling me 3 times a day and when i answered just now I said hello three time and obviously who ever it was was expecting someone to just hang up because he just said a$$hole and hung up on me instead.  I am officially angry now.

There's a spiffy free app for your cell phone called "Call Detector" that takes care of this problem.  When you get a call it checks to see if it's a known scammer/marketer.  If it is one of these it instantly ends the call and allows you to report it by hitting the "Report" button.  If it does get through and is a scammer/marketer, you can press a button to add it to the blacklist so they can NEVER get through to your cell phone again.
 And no, I have nothing to do with this app, and it's free so I wouldn't have anything to gain from its use.

For some reason I don't think the scammers or marketers read this forum.  If you want it to stop you'll have to do what I did, buy a call blocker, because the governments Do Not Call list and complaint forms (1088X) is just a big waste of time.

They have been known to read and ever post to these forums. But 99.99% of the time it is to convince people the calls are legitimate.

They hang up as soon as I tell them to please take me off the list.

A nice class action suit might put a stop to this crap
