They claim to be Affidavit Consolidation Services, his name is Jason Smith they call maybe 20 time if not more a day at my job. They harrass the receptionist if I don't answer, they tell her that they are the law and they will be major legal problems. I been having this problem for the pass 4 years. Now they call my cell phone, when they call my cell phone number it show up as 052-497-347 and they leave a message to call them at 646)520-0833 they have heavily indian accented. They are very rude

Someone named Mike Henry or Mike Hubring or Hgedwig, can't understand he has a heavy accent called my work claiming to be from ACS, the other gal in the office hung up because she could not understand him, he called back and I answered and he said "you stupid f*&^ don't ever hang up on me or there will be big trouble. are you idiot!?" I don't know what they want and I can't hang on the phone to get swore at but from the parts I understand I am wanted for fraud and he will susp my DL and many threats to make me lose my job, I told him not to call here but he won't listen, what do I do? Call my local police I'm scared. And I cannot understand what he is saying most of the time but he swears clearly..

And today he left a message on the work answering machine, nice as pie but you couldn't understand what he said or his return number but he went on to put on there that he was from a legal office of ACS and I had better take care the legal something I can't understand what he says and he doesn't pronounce my name right either, I'm not calling him back so he cancuss me out, and whoever answers the phone in the office we have two different businesses here, he gives them all my info SS# and so on how can he have the right to give my info to anyone that answers the phone??!!

First they are absolutely full of it; you cannot be arrested for having an unpaid debt unless it's the IRS and they always notify you by mail, and his swearing at you is an indication of his fear of being caught.  Nothing is going to happen to you, no court case, no arrest, nothing. I'd be willing to bet he'll call back at some point offering to lower your interest rates on unsecured debt. Happened to me and I let the person have it. Notify the 3 credit bureaus www.equifax.com www.transunion.com www.experian.com have them place a fraud alert on your credit report; also notify your state's attorney general's office and the FTC.
For fun, assuming the number still works, call him back and tell him what he told you.

How do you get them to quit calling your job, I won't get fired but it's annoying to everyone else, and I'm sure he will call again,,this is getting old. If he says again "you afraid you lose job?" Mike Henry called again at work and told my coworker my SS# and that I was involved in a lawsuit and to call him at 347-342-0495. I am going to call the police,, this is enough.

Retain an attorney familiar with fair debt collection practices and sue the pants off of them for harassment. Also report them to the FTC, file a police report for harassment. Make sure you tell the attorney that the guy gave your social security number to someone else in the office, that is a felony I believe.

He called again at work giving my SS# to the gal that answered and told her I was involved in a lawsuit, so I called back and he said I had a payday loan thru Advance Cash which I do not and I can prove it thru my bank statement. I have an account Visa debit card that is sort of a checking account as in you get a bank statement of all transactions. I did apply on line for a payday loan (but I don't believe it was them because a lady called me back after I applied and said you can't get one without check blanks she was very nice), so I did not get any payday loan from them. I can prove it by my Visa statement. He gave me a date on it and I looked it up and there's nothing. I haven't used that card in many months and he said it was in June 30, 2009. What a scam! What to do next? I also told him not to call me at work and he said he can call as much as he likes and when I wanted documentation he said he can't give me that and when I said I was going to report him to the Federal Trade Commission he said he worked with them also. I told him to send the sheriff with papers and I will look into it and he hung up!!! I don't believe a thing. He got my info somehow when I did apply for payday loan now he's going wild with it. He is committing fraud with my info!! What's next!!

Ok so we know these people are trying to commit fraud....I've had some harrassing phone calls from 052-497-347, and many other numbers from ACS - Affidavit Consolidation Services. They say I owe them money on a pay day loan and said they are going to show up at my work and have me fired.

Is that true? Can they do that even though I did not do a payday loan with these people?  How can they be stopped?

Another call the other day this number is 310-598-1661 cannot understand her name, starts out as loud radio music, says I have to call or my attorney or all she can say is good luck to me, she said the call back number but hesitated and had to ask someone else what it was, what a joke, I called my Visa card and it cancelled they looked at my account and said I had no deposits from any payday place on it and in fact it's a CC you can't get a payday loan on it, so watch out if you get a Visa debit card on line, she told me it was a scam and they would put a watch on it, but I decided just to cancel it, and get another. Again, just now! Another call from Michael Johnson then a Mike Johnson then Mike Hudwig, also now a gal calls boy is she hard to understand, do not fall for this people, they think if they bug you long enough you will pay, but don't!!

I got several calls from these scumbags.  At first, I said what the heck are they calling me for with their threats. They had a lot of my information so I immediately closed my checking account and reopened another that they can't possibly have so really they cannot steal my money.  All the lowlifes can do is call and when they call and harass me, I call and harass them back.

They have pissed me off, I reported them to the FTC and The US Secret Service for calling a government employee with this bullchit.

To the post above, yes you want to close your bank account or just notify  your bank of the scam and they will give you a new account number.  Don't talk to these people but if you must, just tell them you know they are a scam. Be sure to report them.

I have been dealing with this pondscum for over a year.  At first I ignored them, but they kept calling, now I pick up and slam right back at them. Let them know you know they are scammers.

These are thieves, con artist of the lowest kind.  They are not a business or a collection agency.  They are just some scum that have stolen your information and trying to use scare tactics to trick you into forking over your checking account or credit card number so they can wipe you out.  They are terrorist from overseas trying to scare Americans into funding their next attack. Don't fall prey to it.

Dont' send them one red cent.  IF you do, they will come at you again and again. Don't weaken, remember they cannot arrest you or get anything from you, all they can do is sit in their corners making calls hiding behind a telephone, they are cowards, lowlifes and bums trying to make a buck off your ignorance.  Don't fall prey to these thieves.

Don't be stupid.  No one can have you arrested for not paying a loan, even if you owe.  Be real.  These are scammers from overseas that have stolen or was sold your information by a predatory lender.  They cannot have you fire, all they can do is call you.

im currently sitting in my English class in college and received a call from the number 524-973-47. i pressed ignore of course cause im in class, but i did reverse look up and came upon this site. they didnt leave me a message, but how do i report them? they apparently have personal information that they shouldnt have. what should i do?

What are you afraid of, they are just cowards hiding behind the telephone. If you live in the USA,you should know that you cannot be arrested for oweing money.

If you do owe money, these guys are not the right people to pay, they are terrorist trying to extort money from Americans. They will take your money, wait a months and start hounding and harrassing you again for more.
