Hunter Warfield--it's a collection call and bogus. This guy has been bugging us for months.

I received a call with an automatic response system telling me the call was for my mother and that this was not a sales /solicitation call...I recognized the # as Hunter -Warfield who have been harassing her for almost a year about uncollected fees for the funeral home (Howard/Price) in North Palm Beach FL...my father's funeral was 12/2005 and we have been disputing the charges for years. The thing that is upsetting me is that I have already made payment in full to the funeral home directly and these collection VULTURES are still bothering me!!!  

Back to the call tonight though...they had me on hold several minutes so I hung up...these people are so rude and a big waste of time. They have no reason to call me anymore since I do not owe SCI a penny now!

I got a call from this number today (813) 283-4003 and let it roll to voicemail. It is a recording saying something along the lines of: This is an important message for - [my name inserted here]. This is not a sales call, etc. We have a message for you that you may retrieve by calling (866) 494-9902. However, I have a rule that I do not call anyone who won't identify themselves, so I'm not going to call them back until they can leave me a proper voicemail with full contact information. (So impolite - voicemailing someone and not letting them know who you are.) So I went online and did a brief search for both the caller ID phone number and the toll-free number they want me to call. Both seem to lead to a collections agency by the name of Hunter-Warfield Collections, as indicated in this forum by a few other helpful folks. Though I made a few financial mistakes back in 2002, I know for certain that I paid everything off, and currently owe no debt to any company of any kind, so I am going to ignore this call. Thank you to everyone who provided useful information here. My appreciation to you for posting.

Yes - these calls are bogus.......I was able to prove with paperwork that no money was owed and they are still harassing me.....are there no laws to protect people anymore??????????????

These guys are terrible. They never listened to you. Just keep saying "return the debt or you will be sued etc etc..." very rude... Never give you a second to explain. Never seen an American like that.
