caller id said Seffner, fl called and asked if I was the homeowner and said she wanted to talk to me about my electric bill. I told her I was on the do not call list and do not bother me again.

The same here.  Received a call stating they saw my electric bill had gone up and wanted to come walking through our house to do an energy saving survey.  What I'd really like to find out is how they knew EXACTLY how much my electric bill had gone up.  Fishy as hell.

You would hope that when I blocked them on 813-324-6618 they would get the message. I guess I have to block another one.

This is definitely a scam.  Do not answer, and never ever engage the caller.  They will never give up.  I *never* answer my phone.  I have a recorded message which states:  "Due to an increase in the frequency of fraudulent calls, your call will not be answered at this time.  After the tone, you may leave your name and number and a brief purpose for your call.  Messages are checked once daily and your call may be returned within 24 hours.  If this is a sales call or any type of solicitation, your call will not be returned.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.  Thank you for your patience and your kind understanding."  In reality, I usually look at the caller ID (if I'm at home), and will answer if I recognize the caller or the number. Other than that, I simply don't answer my phone (cell phone or home phone).  I refuse to be a slave to any telephone.  The primary purpose for having a phone is that it gives me the opportunity to expand my ability to communicate at my convenience.  I pay the bill, so I decide when to use it.

My neighbor received a call and spoke to someone. They advised my friend she could save money.  She became suspicious because of the questions they were asking. Made an appointment and the man came to her house. The good news is that the police were waiting. Yes, she called the police.  Anyone who receives a call from this number should do the same. They are scammers.

The caller ID indicated Seffner.  When I answered, the woman asked for my husband and I told her he was at work.  She said the call was about the electricity bill on the house, said she would call back and hung up.  The electricity bill on our house is in my name, not my husband's.

called at 920am to leave no message and no caller id. this is a long running theft ring, we were called last year.

I just received the same phone call with the same question.  I tried to call the number and the line is dead.

Saw the number on my caller ID when I got home from work today. ID showed Seffner, Fl. and no message was left.

called again at 155pm, no message, caller id instead of the old "sefner" one is now that phoney v with about 16 random numbers...really a bunch of thieves
