- JennCalled and asked for our plant manager by name. The copier was running so I asked him to repeat who he was with. He said the name so fast so that I could not really understand what he was saying. I then asked if our manager was expecting his call and he said "yes he is". I told him the manager was in the shop with a customer and asked him again who he was with. He said "geepers creepers" and hung up on me. Real professional.
- BCFThey're NOT professional. That's the problem. Dishonest people will use every means to their end. This time she said her name was Maria and "couldn't remember" the name of our maintenance manager. Then when I asked her the name of her company she hung up on me. Caller ID Spoofing is NOT illegal but it's NOT legal either. And we are helpless to stop them without accurate information on them. When will FTC catch up with these jerks?

- OperatorCaller started out okay but became combative when he asked for the name of our maintenance manager and was informed that we don't give out that info. He then said he was Phil xx with "the lighting company" and he really needed to speak to "him". When informed that calls are not accepted without a specific name, he said, "Why don't you just transfer me and we'll find out?" I told him that's not possible, I would lose my job for not following instructions...he hung up.

- Director's AssistantWhoever this IDIOT is called and asked to speak to the person in charge of repairs,I told him he was not in and how could I help him. he said can i reach him on his cell phone, i said sure, if you have his number (i dont give out our directors personal cell phone number). He began to lie and tell me that he had just spoken with him at the office and must have written down the cell number wrong. When i asked him to repeat the number to me, he said something smart and slammed the phone down in my face. I went to switchboard.com and tracked the number to Tampa,Fla, but was unable to find a name or actual address...

I mentioned another manager who has in the past ordered some from a Flordia company, but he isn't available. He then asked for cell number, I said I can't give that out, how can I help you? What's his home number? Sir, I can't give that out, how can I HELP YOU?! The jerk then asked for his SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!! I hung up immediately. Wow! Unbelievable!

Her teleskills were trash, and if she would would have been forthcoming, i might have given her the right contact. She became real rude and hung up. - UtahThe caller asked for the Maintenance Manager, the switch board transferred the call. they proceeded to great me and told me that since I was such good customer, I had two home depot gift card coming to me that all they needed was my full name and my home address and they would send the cards directly to my home. I told them that we had not order anything from them. Then he asked for my cell number to look up our records I again told him I had never purchased anything from them, he then hang up.

- DaveComes in as CLC, the guy said they were in Tampa FL. They our supply Commercial Supply. Said our maintenance man had called and left a message and they couldn't understand his name. I asked when they called. He said two days ago. I said I was the only one here this week because of the snow storm. He said it was probably longer than two days. I put him on hold for a minute and when I came back he was gone. When you call the number back it says it cant be dialed.

When questioned about what he wants, he gets real nasty demanding to know when my boss will be back. Next time he calls I am going to tell him that I have reported his number to the phone company and BBB.
- AndrewSome guy said he wanted to send out a cooler, then immediately wanted to send a box "cool white bulbs" or some nonsense. Was pushy, and no number to call back. Firmly told him we do NOT want bulbs and do NOT send them. I'll be furious if they show up...

I told him I was. And to quit calling here. He said he would call & hang up. If you are registered with Do Not Call Registry, you can get on line & report him to them. It is under File A Complaint. And I do this every time someone like this calls.

- maintenance GuyI was standing in the Company Office when this guy called and asked for whoever was in charge of mainenance. That is me but since we have recieved these calls before the receptionist was onto him. She said that she could take a message and he started to get mad and said that she was being rude. Kept insisting that he talk to mainenance. So she put him on speaker phone. Well He refused to talk while on speaker phone claming he couldn't hear. then proceeded to start yelling. SCAM never tell them anything If they Get your name they will start to call and ask for you.

- OctavioI just received a call from this number. Caller appeared to be legit at first but then he started saying he was representing a lighting company and wanted to send out a cooler as a thank you for the good business my company has given. I was curious about this since I am the one that orders supplies for my company and had no recollection about ever contacting them for any supplies. I played along and asked them to let me know when the last time my company purchased anything from them. The caller was avoiding my direct questions and kept asking to be provided with the address to send the cooler to, he also threw in a quick line about throwing in a box of flourescent lights in with that shipment. I then informed him that my company does business with a different vendor and currently has no interest in dealing with his company. He then hung up.

- wfp ssStaff transferred a call from these people when they wouldn't answer her questions about who they were. When she asked me who takes care of maintenance for our building, I asked her which part, and who she was with. She said, rudely, "your maintenance." When I asked her, "And you are whom?!" She said, "You obviously don't know, so I'll call someone who does." Wow. Now that's the way to win people over, huh. We lease our office space in a building with another state operated business, so we have several entities that take care of various areas of "maintenance." These CLC people are awful.
