Scammer, wants to send me a check for my stuff on CL.

Did the same with me.  I flat out said that I know you are trying to scam me--no reply.

It is clearly a scammer.  Who would want to pay for something for certified check for something several states away and say they are going to pick it up when the check clears (it isn't worth the gas)?  That is ridiculous.  It is an attempt to get a name, mailing address and the beginning of someone trying to steal your identity or putting you on a list for telemarketers or something.

It's like a Nigerian Email scam through text. If anyone's dumb enough to fall for something like this, they deserve to be separated from their money.

And yes, they texted me because I put a car for sale on craigslist in Portland, OR and left my number in the ad. I told them to fu¢k off.
