- aks| 6 repliesMe too... did you ever find out?
- TGS| 5 repliesThe caller is Laura Irwin, Senior Case Representative, Cain & Daniels Inc. out of Florida. Scam artists that search through public records and call people looking to help them settle "debts". I am in Canada so have no idea how she got my number or why she was even calling me.
- Caller: Cain & Daniels Inc.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Against Scammers replies to TGSJust got a call from her too, and our company is also in Canada. You are right they got us from public records. As if we would use a lawyer in Florida when we have our own lawyers here in Vancouver.
- TPR| 1 replyWe just got called as well, also in Canada. Who can we report these people to? We have no settlements agains our firm, so total scam!
- Caller: Cain and Daniels
- Annon.Received a call saying I was being sued and wanted to know who to talk with concerning the suit. I asked who was suing me and she said it was a company I have never heard of called Local Tennessee LLC and it was for breach of contract and that I could work through them and settle for half. Never heard of Local TN. I gave her my attorney's contact info but she was not interested.

- Cain and Daniels replies to aks| 5 repliesCain and Daniels is a legal debt settlement company authorized to assist debtors in the USA and Canada. The information is provided by public record once a lawsuit if filed in your jurisdiction. The goal is to reduce debt based on financial hardship and stop the progression of the lawsuit. Do your due diligence and go to their website. cainanddaniels.com Also, be very careful of slander. What is posted here is slanderous and illegal, ironically enough posted by debtors who do not honor their debts and end up in court defending poor business practice

- Anon_visitor replies to Cain and DanielsFrom what I can tell, for it to be slander it would have to be 1) spoken, 2) malicious, and 3) false. No written statement here can qualify for that. So long as people report what they genuinely believe to be true, it can't very well be malicious either.
- Callertoo replies to helping your businessNot all debt that collection agencies try to collect is valid debt. Just because a person posts here does not mean they are one of the "debtors who do not honor their debts."
- Willow replies to Cain and DanielsHiya pot, let me introduce you to kettle.
A) Slander is (as mentioned) spoken. LIBEL is written. In either case it has to be untrue. You need to do your own "due diligence" and learn the difference.
B) You claim these people owe a debt. Do you have their records in front of you ? Can you divine their names and confirm that they are the correct person from anonymous postings ? I didn't think so.
C) Can you prove any of them have ended up in court ? - Business AssistanceEvery consumer has a choice to use services to help them settle outside of court. The company in question, Cain & Daniels only works for clients that admit the debt. If you are in dispute, they will not take you as a client. They do not do bill board or print advertising to keep costs low and therefor a client can only find out about the services by a case representative calling the business, which is only found on public record with a recent legal action related to a debt. They do not accept any money unless they perform the service of a debt settlement. There cannot be a scam if the client admits the debt and is not in dispute and the service is validated through an attorney prior to completing the service. If someone (other than the intended) was called in error, as this can happen when a company does not have a clear number listed and an erroneous number is associated to that potential client in error, it is not malicious or to scam. This happens in error and we all move on to the next task.

- Willy replies to helping your business| 1 replyYou idiots called our office regarding a company we have never done business with, so I think there is a very good chance that you are fabricating debts and then hoping companies will pay them out of confusion or to just make the matter go away. Not us!
- Jim| 1 replyLet's see. Cain and Daniels admits they do not represent the party claiming the debt and simply troll public records looking for potential clients. Yeah, it would be hard to slander these clowns since they have no business calling anyone in the first place. The CAN-SPAM makes it illegal for Cain & Daniels to call people or companies unless they have a business relationship with one of the parties. We filed a complaint online today.

- confused818 replies to TPROur company based in Armenia not even in the US got a call from these clowns saying there was a pending matter for some other company so yes who and where can we report this people because that is ridiculous.
- john replies to WillyExactly - I get a message of an "urgent nature" and a call back number and file number. When I call back the guy throws a bogus name at me and I say "Never heard of them" - the response is then "It must be this paperwork in front of me that is wrong.... blah blah blah"
Sounds like a "fishing trip" on Cain Daniel's part - BEWARE! - Canadian Lawyer replies to JimWe are also a Canadian company. A representative of Cain & Daniels (Ethan Ortese - 813-658-3546) has called repeatedly to offer to help us settle a lawsuit in Florida if we will pay half the claim. We don't even do business in Florida. When I asked him to substatiate the claim, the conversation became very short. I therfore reported him to the Better Business Bureau using this link (http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-revi ... mpa-fl-90077732) and suggest others follow suit. Good luck!
- Birdlie OhThis company called and said a judgement had been entered against our company in Polk county for a sum of money, but had no details when asked about where Polk County was, the details of the case, or why we had never received any certified mail regarding any case. When asked, I was given a case number, which did not line up with any search I could perform on the web at all.Chalked it up as a scam and did not go any further with them.

- G.| 9 repliesWe filed a report with BBB. My company is out in brooklyn, NY. And this company managed to call us several times regarding a (Fraudulent case). I even got on the phone with a representative from there company. She thought she was fooling us but when we asked for more info, she did not give any at all. We will be reporting this to BBB and a few other sites that we know. FYI we are a media company so they made a big mistake this time.
