I had a voice message naming my brother and saying that I was listed as a reference. My brother said he didn't list me anywhere, so I just blocked the number.

Left voicemail asking for my side of story.
Idk what story they referring to

This number has called 2 of my family members indicating I had placed them as a reference. I have not provided their info for any reference.

Called a family member. Said I used a family member as a reference. The family member has been deceased for over a decade and never used them as a reference. Blocked number.

Called and assumed I was "Tee". (I know this person, but we have not spoken in over 5 years) They said this phone number was listed as a reference for "Martin" (This is Tee's brother, but I also do not speak to this person)
So I'm a bit confused on why I'm receiving phone calls for a person I no longer speak to, and somehow my number was listed as a reference.

Called asking for a family said I was put down as a reference. And I need to call back. Ask my family member said they never put me down for nothing.

I got a message that my ex put me down as a reference or my number was listed and they want me to call back to talk to them about him and just like everyone else to scam so block the number

Some type collector call; left VM  Said need to speak with me today important matter pending, Get my side of the story... No story to tell, Peace out.

This same person just called me and said I was a reference to a family member, well I haven’t talked to this family member in 7 years… he wouldn’t tell me what it was about but that he was trying to get ahold of her and hasn’t been able to. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Called ID said Zephyr Hills, FL. That's one clue it's a scam. The person that left a message had a foreign accent. Clue number 2. The message was that I was listed as a contact for a person I never heard of. Clue number 3. This person has called 2 times now.

Voicemail from Oscar calling from some leasing office in Zepheralis, FL saying my estranged sister-in-law used me as a reference. They used my maiden name and I haven’t spoken to her in 5 years. So must be a scam.

Called my daughter stating that they wanted to check if I was alright and that she was my emergency contact.

Called my brother saying I listed him as a reference but they don't have a current number for me. I've had my number for over a decade SCAM.

tldr: They called my mom to get better contact on me to work their scam.

Called me at 3:13p asking for reference for Joesph M***** (my maiden name). Never had a Joesph in our family, ever.  I said, "I have no idea who that is," and hung up - blocked instantly.  Three minutes later, my mom in another state gets similar message on answering machine, asking for reference for Janice M*****, using my married name as point of contact, asking for my details.  Mom called me in pre-panic mode making sure I was okay and not in a hospital somewhere.  All very strange and sketchy as hell. Told her to delete and ignore if they call again on her old land line.

Oscar called saying there was a claim in my office, he wanted to talk to me about??  I don't have an office and I have no claim...

Individual with a foreign accent,is calling me and family members stating I use them as a reference. That I’m not in trouble zero clue who this person

The vm says that they are contacting regarding a claim placed in their office, but the also called my dad’s ex-wife saying that I listed them as a reference. I don’t speak to her and I don’t know who they are.

"Alex Stone" at this number called to say "John" put me down as a reference. Would I ask "John" to call them back? He'll know what this is about. I asked the name of the company ... "Alex" said RavNow which, upon researching, looks like a credit place. I googled the number and all these messages above lead me to believe this is a scam. I've blocked the number.

Three other family members all got the same phone call. Poor John. Block this number.

Recd call/voicemail from this number 3 or 4 days ago, foreign woman (sounded Asian) saying I was a contact for Linda Johnson. Asked me to call her back to discuss ??? (Unintelligible). I deleted the voicemails d blocked the number
