Received a call from this number, claiming that the company name was Cash Advance America. (I recently applied for a Payday Loan) The man had a thick accent. He told me that I was approved for a $4000 loan, and that a $200 Loan Processing fee + $200 Paperwork fee + $400 Interest would be added to the principle of the loan! I asked a bunch of questions. He initially said that Bank of America was funding the loan, but later he mentioned an affiliation with GE Money Bank, and even had the audacity to provide me with their website gogecapital.com. This is where the MAJOR red flag went up.......He said that I would have to go and get a GreenDot Money Card, for $100 to submit to them, then the $100 would be refunded in my loan, when they dispersed it to me. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! So, I followed my gut, called GE Money Bank, and of course these fools ARE NOT affiliated with them! I'm so glad that I didn't fall for the Okie-Doke! Now, I'm going to do what I can to report these scam artists! They got the right one!!!!

no no no thats totally false i also got a call from cash advance america telling that i was approved for a loan for $5000 and they asked me to pay the prossessing fees for transferring funds in my account.I paid it and by evening i bgot the funds tranferred in my account.....they are legemend and genuine bank

I got a call from the same number saying they were with GE Capital.  With a loan of 1000.00 . Told me to get a green dot money pack of 150.00 to pay to get the PIN number activated.

Was called to say I was approved for $1000. loan.  Then on 3 different occasions I gave them $300 total through Green Dot Money Card.  Was promised $1300, would be deposited in my check a/c within one hour.  I call back 6 hours later and was told that Jack had gone home sick and would call me this morning.  This morning a got a call from some lawyer saying I had not paid a loan of over $800.  I asked him who the loan was with but he never said just I had to pay it or go to court.  When I continued to ask what he was talking he hung up on me and said the cops would be at my door tomorrow and I would spend Christmas behind bars.  I'm 70 years old and live on Social Security and get food stamps and have health problems.  Needless this has me very upset and I don't know what to do.  Please help.

No body can arrest you for not paying a payday loan. They are just trying to scare you. Next time hang up. If you want a payday  loan go to Amscot. I've dealt with these people many times. Remember you don't have to pay to get paid.

I hope its not too late but have you been to your bank or contacted Greendot to reverse the funds for you?  I would claim FRAUD and contact any government agency you can.  Don't give up.

Scammers overnight loans but requires over 4 trips to western union  to send money to them on a prepaid card. The all have middle eastern accents with names provided as Harry, Eric Foster, John Anderson , John White and lastly Jose. they took me for &580.00. Why government cant locate them is beyond me. I do have a fraud lawyer and am suing for millions for the distress they caused me. Other phone number used is (718)717-2192
