We are an internet company.  Today I received a call from a pushy and rude RedZ salesperson. I was polite and patient and listened to his pitch even though I told him I had rec'd calls from his firm before and declined past offers of assistance.  Circumstances have not changed, as I told the caller.  As I was expecting a call less than four minutes after I answered his call, I listened but politely told him more than once I had to hang up due to my scheduled business call in four minutes (the truth).  We would NEVER work with them as the salesperson ultimately hung up on me.  He had an opportunity to nicely and professionally end the call, but did not. If RedZ treats potential customers this way, I do not trust them with mine on any level.  I asked to be removed from their call list and  solicitation lists of all types by way of customer service email.  They contact us about three times annually.  If they do so again, after my request to stop, I will report RedZ as a harassment case to the appropriate authorities.

This company is Red Z (zebra) located near Tampa Fl. They are a PPC company that integrates with search engines for chosen Key Words. I tried them out for six hundred dollars worth of clicks; 0 conversions. They come across as pushy and desperate and make it sound like they are the best thing since, whatever. Every few months, they call me back, even though I have told them to take me off their call list. Avoid this company.

Called asking for the Marketing Manager. This number has called many times in the past 2 months. The person on the orther end said he is with DOTHOP and not RED Z like many of the posts above have mentioned. However, I am sure the number is indeed the same company. The marketing manager never talks to this company, so I throw the guy into the voicemail everytime. He never leaves a message.

Just like all the rest of you guys, I don't have anything pleasant to say about these guys.  My old boss gave these guys $500 to advertise our brand.  I tracked their traffic, and determined that 96% of it came from India, and the remaining 4% came from a single IP that turned out to be from the city where they're based.  They were excited about how many clicks we got, and recommended giving them a grand. I told them that under no circumstances would we ever have anything more to do with them, and tried to tell the rep that he's working for a really shady group, and he'd do better to look for work elsewhere.  This was about 6 years ago.  They continue to call at least two or three times a quarter.

The last time I picked up the phone when they called, some four years ago, the call went something like this:

    me:  Hello, this is Brian.

RedZee:  Brian!  Hello!  This is Chris, at RedZee.  Is now a good time to talk?

    me:  Oh #&*$

and I hung up.  You'd think that'd get the message across that I don't want to deal with them.

They're probably a group of 4 or 5 people who scam ill-informed people out of a couple hundred bucks here and there.  Do yourself a favor, ignore the caller.  Nothing good can come from picking up the phone when they're on the other end of it.

Called today cluelessly phishing for a name. They asked for "Scott" but had no last name. Shocked? I'm not.

She tried the "Well, it's been a while since I talked to him..." line.

I gave her the e-mail address I give all cold-callers.  She's yet to send anything

This number belongs to a company called DotHop.com.  They have a search engine that utilizes a visual response more so than the traditional line item search results.  They said they are backed by Facebook and they target men and women aged 18-50. They also said the receive about 5-6 million searches a month.   If you have a business and normally do PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising then it's worth considering.  They charge a flat rate of $.30 a click and they don't charge you twice if the same person clicks on your ad more than once.

They caught me right after I logged into my Google Adwords account and I was about to start running my ad, so it was perfect timing for them.  I decided to give them a try after spending some time on the phone with them.  I'll come back and update my comment to let everyone know if it's a scam or if its real.

Pure scam. This company claims that it purchases low-cost clicks from major search engines when high-priced pay-per-click clients reach daily limits. It then sells these cheap clicks to you for your website. Sure enough, the hits on your site go way up but it's all robot activity. There won't be any extra real clients visiting your site.

I haven't ran across a telemarketer this PUSHY in years! My husband and I both picked up the phone at the same time (me in the office, he out in the very noisy shop). I heard the guy ask for my husband by first name, then somebody near my husband started grinding on metal and neither one of us could hear a thing. It didn't even phase this guy, he just kept right on talking. Finally my husband just hung up (later he told me he had just set the phone down next to the grinding and walked off, then came back and hung it up). I interrupted the guy and said we aren't interested, don't call back here again. I hung up and the phone IMMEDIATELY rang again. It was the idiot, so I picked up the receiver and hung it up again. And immediately it rang for a THIRD time! I picked it up and said WHAT DON'T YOU GET ABOUT NOT CALLING BACK HERE AGAIN? He said, "This isn't a sales call ma'am. I'm trying to help you out, free of charge." I said I don't give a crap what you are trying to do, DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN. (So far he hasn't - but it's been less than 5 minutes ...) I've blocked the number and I'll block every number I can find for them. That's some nerve, behaving like that and thinking we'd EVER want a business relationship with the. ###holes.

We receive 2-4 calls monthly from DOTHOP. Rudeness abounds! We are not interested as the # of clicks or anything of the sort means nothing to our business model.  We have repeatedly told them not to call.  They always call in succession - First caller told no interest, phone rings 4-5 minutes later and if the same person in our office answers DOTHOP hangs up.  Today "Leonard" was told AGAIN that we have no interest and to remove us from their call list. He got snotty, threw attitude, and hung up. Now I'm just waiting for another DOTHOP idiot to call again. Last month we told them to stop - that their calls were now considered harassment.
