I sent a request into my bank to dispute the charges. - AWThis is for the Get Motivated Seminar

CAUTIOUS - CAUTIOUS - CAUTIOUS - CAUTIOUS
Its a scam.... Our office ordered & paid for tickets to a seminar they were heavily advertising for. we never receoved the tickets or pamphlets we ordered.
We called the Organizations that they said were going to be there. IE, Zig Zigler, Colin Powell, Laura Busch.... etc.... NONE of them knew anything about being in our town on that day and ALL stated they have no reccollection of doing business at all with Mr & Mrs Tamara Lowe...... who suposedly OWN the company - Google them, they do not own ANY companies according to the IRS.
We never received any of the information nor were we ever given a refund. We have dusputed the charge with the credit card compnay, that has been credited and recharged 4 times now.
GOOD LUCK with these idiots...... - Ringing in Cincy...I just got call from this number, and I actually had just attended one of their seminars. It is a real company owned by the Lowes:

Tickets were cheap, so I'm wondering if it was a fancy way to get our info and market to us to buy stuff. Haven't answered call, nor have I received a voicemail yet from them.- Caller: Get Motivated

- Joyous_LadyJ replies to DarrelP| 2 repliesThe Get Motivated seminars are not a scam.
I attended the one in Charlotte NC last week and Laura Bush, Colin Powell, Rudy G., Terry Bradshaw, Steve Forbes and others were there in person as well as a very elderly but sweet Zig Ziggler.
I also spoke to a cousin who attended one of their seminars in Asheville NC.
We had four tickets mailed to us and then requested six more. They sent an Email for the last six and I had no problem picking them up at Will Call at the arena.
This was a very uplifting seminar and I look forward to the next time they are in town. - Tether replies to Joyous_LadyJ| 1 replyOh, these Get Motivated Seminars are a scam and anyone who can't see this once they see one of these semiars, is a "fool" The only ones getting rich off of these seminars are the Lowes and the speakers. Colin Powell makes a $100,000 per speaking engagement, a few times a month with Get Motivated Seminars. That $100,000 is NOT coming from those $19 dollar seat tickets, I can tell you that!! It is coming from what they are "selling", which comes after the big "Circus", making people believe that if they BUY into their Investools material, they WILL become rich. HOGWASH. They don't give a rats ass if you become rich, motivated or anything else....ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS GETTING EVRY DIME YOU WILL HAND OVER TO THEM. This is what motivates them right into their pockets...is your hard earned money and they entice you in by promoting rich, famous, speakers. Don't let Eve talk you into biting the apple!!! Their investools aren't anymore knowledge than what you can get out of a library or online!!! Don't be a FOOL!!!
- TXCalled me at 9:00 pm, I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail.
- Sam Slay| 2 repliesThey are legit. I am attending my 2nd one January 25th in Tallahassee, Florida. I have been to their seminars before. They are awesome. They do make their money selling things at the seminar, but you are not obligated to buy them. The speakers alone are worth more than the low cost of admission $5.00. If they were not making money selling things you and I might never get to hear them speak, because we wouldn't be able to afford it. Just like comedy, movie or tv we all need a little motivation and distraction from time to time. I hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of going. It was Zig Ziglar who inspired me to get into my 2nd career in the speaking and training business after hearing him speak at one of these seminars at the Pensacola Civic Center December 8, 1988. Wow, that was a while ago!

- suejI attended The conference today and it was awesome, sure about half of the speakers sold stuff, but the only thing the Lowes sold was a $15 book on motivation and 100% of the proceeds goes to childrens charities. The day cost me $5 and I got a free subway lunch. If you think it's a scam then you haven't been to their event.

- Tom WhiteCompletely agree with some of these folks. I attended my 2nd one recently & I cannot think of a better $19 I have spent. This is a fantastic event & the opportunity to get to see this many speakers of this caliber in one place at one time is outstanding. In addition, this is a fantastic event to take/provide for customers if you are in that type of sales. My customers love it & appreciate it more than anything else we do. Everyone's staff should be required to attend this event when it comes to your area! Do they promote their items? Absolutely, but mostly not until the very end of their session & their is no obligation whatsoever for you to buy it. If you are in sales of any kind, do you promote your product when on a sales call or someone comes into your store? Whoever said they looked them up & said it was a scam, you don't know what you are talking about & you did not do a very good job of looking them up. All you have to do is go to Get Motivated or Tamara Lowe - and you don't think this is the real deal, you probably haven't seen Tamara or Peter Lowe speak! (FYI: I do not work for them, I am not a dreamer or romantic - I have been in Wholesale Cellular Sales for 14 years & next to the Nordstrom Customer Service video, these seminars are the best thing I have ever seen. If they are making calls - well that's a bad deal & they need to stop, but don't knock the rest of it.

- georgiaI received a call from 813-884-7200 asking if this was Our Community Info. I replied NO as asked to be removed from their list. My number is listed on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER....SO WHY AM I RECEIVING THESE UNWANTED CALLS????
- Bob Mc EwenI just attended a Get Motivated seminar in my hometown Savannah, Ga. Yes they r real & yes Tamara Lowe owns the Corp. They r real & not a scam. Also attended one last yr & will probably will go again next yr. The folks saying they r a scam r probably nary do wells & democrats. Imagine, the nerve of them making money! Idiots, that's known as American Free Enterprize, duh!
- KirkCalled asking for my Boss, did not pronounce his last name correctly, his last name is only 4 letters long how can you SCREW that up? I hung up. She called right back and again SCREWED his name up for the second time. I took the phone off the hook and they didn't call back.
- Jeff replies to DarrelPI usually do not post on these things, but with such a completely erroneous post I had to reply. I am not sure what "DarrelP" or their company did but I just attended this seminar with my company and yes in fact the attendees that DARRELP stated - Zig Zigler, Colin Powell and ones not stated - Jon walsh, Sarah Pallin were speakers. The seminar is like many others it is 40 minutes of speaking about life stories freom key note speakers. Followed by 3 or 4 "gurus" selling a program that is drastically discounted if you buy NOW, (sarcasm implied)!!
Take it for what it is, your not going to leave a changed person, but you may leave with a new concept or idea you did not have before! - EduardoI just signed up for event in Spokane, WA, and within an hour got a phone call. I let it go to voice-mail and got the following:
Hi this is William xxxxxxxx, calling to verify the mailing address for the order just received, please call me back at 813-884-7200.
This is the first time I ever got a call from ordering something form the Internet... seems a little strange.
I knew it was too good to be true when I signed up, but for $5, its a steal. Besides, can't buy anything - don't have any money anyway! But it would be such a pleasure to hear them speak.- Caller: Lowes
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Russ| 1 replyI have been to SEVERAL of their events over the years and I agree with some of the posters. I can't think of ONCE that I left feeling that I wasted money. In my opinion, everyone who is in sales or is self employed should go at least once. Best money you will spend. I have received several ideas from the presentations that helped me create advertising pieces that pulled 10X what we had been getting.
Those who are worried about this being a scam and a rip off, don't go. You probably wouldn't understand it anyway.- Call type: Telemarketer
