Started getting calls from these guys when Vonage assigned me "Temporary Virtual Phone Number".  Never talked to them, but based on the number of calls I have been getting for "James" I'm seeing how relentless they are.  Reporting both them and another business Dakota State Bank ie. Rewards 660 to the Missouri Attorney General.

Got a call from them today, saying that I or my Attorney needed to call them back immediately, I did not get the message till later tonight, and they were closed, So I will call them in the Morning, any ideas of how to handle this matter. Thanks Mike

Just recv'd phone call from Phillip and Burns Law Firm in Tampa, Fl. Asking for a (blank) Newland, I told them there was no such person at this number. They went on to inform me I was an lair and I owed so much monies to a "some kind of fast cash place". I tried to a sure them that it wasn't me! So they went on to more name calling and making threats.
Sure, I know this type of calling is illegal.
My Qestion is who really does anything about our complaints

A representative by the name of Martina contacted me today and advised me of a debt I owe with Orchard Bank.  I advised that I am on unemployment and that I cannot pay the debt right now.  Instead of listening to her sarcastic attitude, I hung up the phone.  She called me BACK and was rude - saying that I am a "sad sad little person and should pay back what I owe and that now NO help or payment assistance would be offered to me."  I called back and spoke to her manager who was equally as rude, infantile, harassing and belligerent.  I advised him that his company would be reported to the better business bureau for harassment.  He advised that he would make sure that his reps, 'never had the displeasure of speaking to me ever again.'  I thought there was PROTECTION against these kinds of collections firms and their brutal harassment.

Caller first off had wrong address and argued with me and told me that they did not have to provide customer service and then the superviser told me that I was broke and didn't have any money and that is why I didn't want to pay.  They are trying to get money for a card I don't even recall having over 3 years ago

They called 5 times today from a spoofed number all "5's" and from a 716 Buffalo NY number. That was a record to date. Usually call once a day. I have never answered. They used to leave computer gen msg but leave nothing now. You think these clucks would give up. I just laugh when I see "morons" on my phone. That is the name I have put all their numbers under. They are too low a life to acknowlege them by answering. I owe them nothing. Not even a call back.

I have been getting calls from Phillips and Burns for over a year now.  They call well beyond the hours and amount of times a day allowed within the law.  I made arrangements to pay off every one of my debts and they are the only ones I haven't been able to pay.  They refuse to send me anything in writing showing that I owe them anything or who owns the debt they want to collect.  Their rep even refused to give me an address to mail a payment to stating that I had to pay over the phone right then and there that they will not accept mailed in payments.  These people are ridiculous and always illegally stating they are going to sue and take legal action.  last time I checked you can't threaten legal action against someone as a creditor unless you are already in the process of such actions.

I got the call twice!!! First time I let it go to voice mail, and then i pressed stop. So it hung up, then they called me back 10 seconds later!!
I let it go to voice mail agian, and they were talking about a Stepentny Burns or somthing! WOW, my last name is Forester! I don't know any one with the last name of "Burns".
I know this type of calling is illegal.

Called demanding to speak with my father ... threatened to take his home....if I did not have him call.  asked to call back and leave a message on this number as I was on the interstate and could not write and drive.  Demanded to know what number was on my cell phone screen and when I started to say something became rude, abusive and arrogant.  Name calling. (I need glasses to read not drive).  Absolutely obnoxious and threatening.

Phillips Burns...These sleeze bags are also using the number 866-840-9166 - Don't give them any information of anykind. I won't even answer their calls.  I wait until it starts to go to my answering machine and then I cut them off.  I don't even want them leave any kind of message.  By law,  if you tell them not to call you anymore they are suppoe to stop.  They are breaking the law.

Most times they call and hang-up...very scary. Last time they asked for someone, I just hung up. I don't give out any personal information about anyone over the phone for any reason.

PlEASE:  If you don't know who's on the other line, don't give out any personal information to anyone calling you for any reason. If you have a caller ID phone...cut off the message part of the phone so they can't even leave a message.  If you know people that call, this will show up on your caller ID and you can call them back later.

get this call all the time for someone that does not live here...answered once and called me a lier... told me they would sue me... I told them they could not sue me because I am not who they are looking for...They are rude and arrogent.... They need to find a real job....They keep calling and I never answer the phone....JACKA**!

This is a collection agency; they are crafy and will do what they have to to collect a debt.  I told them I was recently assigned my new phone number and ask them to stop calling, gave them information for the previous owner of the phone and they told me because I was rude to them they would make sure I was call everyday.  I call the local police department and filed an "ANTI-HARASSMENT ORDER" against them.  So people, if you do not owe any money to anyone and these calls are unwarrant file a compliant with you local police department.

From all the comments I see here, it's a collection agency. The two problems I have here is 1. I have no debts and 2. this is an emergency phone; I don't give the phone number to anyone. I think Tracfone must sell their user data.

I have been recieving calls for a Lester Gabriel, for the past 2 months.
This number, 813-889-9600 is the first time. There have been a total of 11
different phone numbers calling asking for Lester Gabriel. Never heard of him. If they went on line they would find that he lives in the Bronx, NY, but that's to hard to do.
