- Rebekah| 3 repliesReceived a call from this number and sent it to voice mail (just like I do to every unknown number I get a call from). I googled the number right away but nothing helpful came up as to who it was. They ended up leaving a voice mail asking for me to return the call to their office today, but didn't say what it was for. I called them out of curiosity and found out it was about a matter from years ago that I never resolved (kinda embarrassing). She helped me with solutions on how to close this matter for good!
- Lisa Petersencalling all the time leaving messages about court and everything else tired of this
- FBI wiil get you replies to RebekahNice try...run a scam and post here to make yourself look legit. Don't believe it this is a scam to get you to send them money out of fear.
- FBI will get you. replies to RebekahOh and did I mention...how much did you pay for the phone list of people that applied for a Pay Day loan? Seems to be who you are targeting.
- THIS IS A SCAM replies to teresa| 2 replies#########################################
PLEASE READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY
If you applied for a Pay Day loan you are most likely the target of this scam. They bought your information from the scum scamer website that pretended to find a Pay Day loan for you. How do I know this as fact? Because I get these calls all the time on the Google Voice number that I set up to apply for Pay Day loans, I never used it for anything else. They have all your information including your SS# because you gave it to them! Ignore them DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY they are scammers!!!!! Asking them to send you a letter by mail does nothing because again they have all your information. No legit collection agency will conduct themselves this way. Also don't worry about the "court action" they have against you THEY USE THIS AS A FEAR TOOL TO GET YOU TO SEND THEM MONEY you can trust me on this. Any legit court action has to be served to you properly (as per your state laws). Also any court action can be stopped at any time by the Plaintiff even after it has been filed.
Also don't be fooled by the phone numbers. Sometimes they use a 202 number to make it look like it's a Federal number or they use 800, 888, 866 etc. to look like a business don't be fooled. They change the phone numbers once people catch on. They will even go as far to post in forums like this pretending to be a person that got called (like you) because they know this is where people go to find out who's behind the number and phone call. They post something like, " I'm so glad I sent them the money now this is all cleared up " or " Send them the money I didn't now I have a lien on my house " or something similar DON'T BELIEVE IT IT'S A SCAM!
I WANT TO TAKE THESE A**HOLES DOWN!! Feel free to copy this post and post it in any forum like this to warn other this is the only way they will be stopped.
############################################ - mikeseveral calls made saying thing about court case and so on and so fourth.
the amazing part is always if you clear it up today the file won't move fwd.

- RayeBest solution I found for these scammers.....block their telephone numbers from your phone.
End of story, no more harassing phone calls.....I have AT&T and for a $4.99 chrg per month, you can
block up to 30 numbers. Well worth the cost since they change the number they call from every month!- Caller: legal processing

- BenReport them to the FBI, Federal Trade Commission, and your State's Attorney General's office. This is a SCAM. They are getting more sophisticated, but if you read this:

You will see that they are scamming you. Record phone calls, and provide the numbers to the agencies that you report this too as well. Anyone who calls from this number and claims to be from the 'Litigation Department' is committing fraud. I want to see these A**HOLES go to prison. They call me all the time claiming I owe different companies different amounts from different time periods. These morons can't even get their bullsh*t stories straight. REPORT THEM, REPORT THEM, REPORT THEM! Help the above mentioned agencies get these [***]!- Caller: Financial Processing & Reporting, INC

- Patty replies to THIS IS A SCAMJust got a call from them. (813-995-41630 Said they were from FPR and Associates and said I owed money from 2008. They will take me to court they said unless I pay them with my VISA, MC or debit card. I said that was against the law and the Debt Collection Act and hung up.
- jmmI did not answer. I think I will get the call block thing from ATT just sick of these calls. I do not owe this money. Never heard of online payday loan company they claim I used in 2008 until these people started calling me. SCAM.

- Block LadyI just got a call from same number. And if I remember right, I received a similar call oh two years ago saying the exact same thing. My husband also started receiving calls for himself and he is like I don't owe anyone. I tried telling him it was a scam. We just block them. The person that said they have to serve you papers to your door, or someone more then likely will send you a certified letter and it won't hide where its from. These are scams and they will try to get that one gullable person to send them money. Not happening, especially when they never identify what company its from originally.... Or if you ask them questions, like secure ones that always people make you fill out, they won't have the answers. Don't waste your time, cause that is what it is. Perfect credit people get these calls and they know there is nothing outstanding out there. Also, they will fool you and use a fake number, probably a local one so it looks like its someone from your town.

- ValI had the same thing happen. Please be aware in the state of Florida this type of contact is a felony. File a report with the local police, and on FBI, FTC and IC3 websites, also cover your butt with the state attorney general too.
I was told they were arresting me for a fraudulent check, which is crap. YOU CANNOT PAY A LEGAL FINE TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE BY CREDIT CARD, MONEY ORDERS ONLY!!!
Give them no information!!

- SUE replies to THIS IS A SCAMThanks for the info. You have saved me from a HUGE headache. Everything you said makes sense and after listening to their message again, I can totally tell it's a scam. And even if you did have a loan with a business, I read that after a certain amount of time, the statue of limitations runs out and companies buy these files from small businesses who in turn try to squeeze whatever they can out of you and that is why they "will settle" with you for a lesser amount than the original loan. They will try scare tactics by threats and
harsh words. THEY SUCK AND THEY CAN SUCK IT...lol BE AWARE. Thanks for the info on your website! - SUE replies to RebekahCheck the statue of limitations in your state. After a certain amount of time, they can't come after you for anything.
- pahahahaTell them you have an attorney and give them a number and name of the attorney they will never call you again. That's how I got rid of these jerks.

"It's a scam" ....!!! - WowMan all everybody does on this board is [***] and complain and try to get out of money you owe. This is the problem with this country and why we have higher taxes and less services: BECAUSE NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY....I owe a [***] ton of debt but at least I have the dignity to not try to dodge it on some technicality. If I owe it; I pay it. Thats how I was raised. If you have a debt collector call you (it is an actually industry people) and they violate the FDCPA, report them to the BBB or talk to your attorney. Don't try to get out of it by a loophole because that makes you just as good as the slime on wallstreet who screwed everyone over and dumped us into this recession. If you actually owe it, just pay the debt. Sorry to rant but everyone on this board is like listening to elementary kids bicker, lie, and play the blame game.
- Caller: ALL OF THEM!
- unbelievableThey are scam artists but they have access to your credit report info real time. Not sure how they get that. If I have their address I will file a lawsuit immediately. They need to be stopped.
