they keep calling my number and saying im gonna get locked up.... what to do

They called my work number saying I had criminal charges pending.  Who is this and how did they get my name and number?

yes thats them idk who they are.

they told me they are located in PA as well and i looked it up and they werent any there. so they are fakes. im brother is a police officer and they messed with the wrong person this time

got call from Robert Shafers company and stating there is legal actions against me from the phone number 8143242003. this foreign company trying to get money from you don't do it

Recd call from this company claiming they were Robert Shaffer, attorney. Person name Steven x 204 claims we took out pay day loan that was never paid. Said we were being sued and if I don't pay we will go to jail, but we could settle if i agree to pay 1/2 of 300.00. This company had my bank info, SS #, routing number, etc. He even knew my husband was on SSDI. It a fraud company. Called the bank and had acct s changed, contacted BBB, etc. Don't get scared, its a scam and don't give them anymore info or agree to any information they give. When they ask if the information that have is correct, just say no, even though it is. Call everyone and alert them. Contact the 3 credit bureau and make sure they are not using your SS# to access your credit. BE AWARE!!!!!

Ijust received a call from the same number 814 324 2003 stating the were suing me for a payday loan in the amount of $500 and i have a court hearing in Jacksonville, Fla. They will thave all of your information DO NOT CONFIRM any information. Please call your bank and change your account ASAP....

Yes, just received 2 messages today (October 11, 2011) on my cell phone, back to back messages from (814)324-2003 x204. The guy who left the messages had a strong/bad accent, so it was hard to understand exactly what he was saying. I decided to 'goggle' their phone # and this message board came up. (I'm not surprised!)  Now, these SCAM ARTISTS used to call me months ago from (870)568-7011. I confronted them and proceeded to ask EXACTLY what these criminal charges were for. They mentioned what Yolanda and Evy (above) said, that I took out a Pay Day Loan for $200 and never paid it back. I told them they were wrong with their information and told them they were trying to SCAM ME! They then hung up and I haven't heard from them in months, until today (but a different #). First off, I never took out a Pay Day Loan from them. I've used the same 2 companies consistently (Cash Central and CashNetUSA) since 2006. I trust them and they're LEGIT!  These guys who have been calling us are true SCAM ARTISTS!!  It's so very sad how this 'SCAMMING' is getting worse and totally out of hand. I agree, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MORE PERSONAL INFO or MONEY. They're just getting their 'hustle' on, taking advantage of people!  I have since closed that bank account and opened another one and informed my bank of these SCAM ARTISTS!  Please STAY AWARE people!!!

OK, today is Wednesday October 12, 2011. These SCUM BAG SCAMMERS called me again, this morning, on my cell and on my home phone! The #, once again, is (814)324-2003 x204. I called them back and they proceeded to tell me the same thing. I asked for their business license # and business ID #. They did not give me that information. They upset me so much for not only inconveniencing me, but just straight up doing this unethical thing to people, by taking advantage of innocent people, telling them that they owe money, KNOWING GOOD AND WELL THAT WE DO NOT OWE THEM ANYTHING!!!. I then proceeded to call them consistently for 1 hour straight - calling them SCAMMERS! SCAMMERS!! SCAMMERS!!! That's what they are - SCAM ARTISTS! I asked them why they do this to people? - Calling people at their jobs, at home and on their cell phones!  And I told them to answer me!  They did not answer me, but instead, hung up on me.  I kept calling back and calling back and calling back, until they no longer answered my calls - For 1 hour straight!... If or when they decide to call me again, I'm going to do the same thing!  Like we don't have enough to deal with already in today's society!  Continue to STAY AWARE people!  SCAM ARTISTS ARE EVERYWHERE and THEY'RE GETTING MORE AND MORE CLEVER!!!

scam scam scam.   Must be part of the "from India scammer" group.  Hang up on them.  Maybe in Bombay, you can get arrest if you owe money...in the US, you don't.

When you get a call from this number tell them that you are reporting them to the police and watch how quick they hang up. Do not agree to anything they tell you and tell them all the info is wrong. I called the Robert Shafer attourney and they are aware of these scammers and they are looking into it. No worry guys the day will come for these people.

I just got a call from this number I could not figure out who the sam they were.  I went to look up the number and found you all.  I am so blooming thankful to.  Next time they call they are in for a real ear full.  anybody want to add some words?

I have gotten the same message, both on my cell and at work.  Figured they were not legitimate...they even called me on my cell and it came up as 911 Emergency Number on my caller id.  I have ignored their calls, and am now going to report this to the attorney general.

I just received message today at work from Apu (from the Kwik-E-Mart) aka Brian Smith from The Law Office of Robert Shippard??? The guy who left the messages had a really bad accent and I could not understand what he was saying (I had to listen to the message 4x's).  He stated that he has been trying to reach me for awhile now and that the matter at hand is very time sensitive.   I need to call him by the close of business today (10/19/2011) to settle this matter.  Mr. Smith, I mean Apu, stated that I need to appear in West Palm Beach County court located in Jacksonville, FL on Monday (I had to laugh at that one because I am from Florida); if not then I will be arrested on my job and I will end up having to pay $13,000, but I call back today then he will settle for $600.  Please be aware of these scam artists.  If you want you can call Apu at 814-324-2003 ext 212.  I am so glad that I did not call them back and did a google search on the phone number.

i have been recieving calls from steve for month saying there coming to my job and to my home they have threaten my life and my job!! yes i do have payday loans times are hard but im going through debt consolidation to repay! when he called today oct.25, 2011 i told him please come to my job you may walk in but you going to run out and they hung up!!

I just got a phone call from a Jonathan White 814-324-2003 x 319.  "Very urgent that you call me back regarding a civil matter that we can help her with - she has a charge against her social security number".  They called and left that message with my receptionist - the man had a very strong accent but yet his name is Jonathan White..he sounded like he was from India or Bangladesh..They are very shady and after reading all the comments, these people are just hoping to get some unsuspecting person and scare them into giving them their personal information.  How do they get away with this.

Happened to me. contacted the fbi and cops. nothing can be done. just keep hanging up.

got a call from them once a day for the past week. have not returned a call yet thinking it was a scam.  they are trying to settle some unknown debt that i have, which none, i pay my bills.  i understand that you cannot be arrested for owing money, it just goes to collections and messes up your credit.  so when they call your work place, have someone tell them you don't work there any more. the number that called me was 814-324-2003 x 319 by the name of Jonathan White, with a heavy indian accent. scam and a half. stay strong and just hang up!
