Got a call from a female saying she worked for Verifax.  She call my job.  The strange thing about this is that I do not put my job number on anything and they didn't have the number that I use for them.  She could not tell me who had her to call me or who she was verifying information for.  She wanted me to verify my home information.  I am very protective (at least try to be) of my personal information.

This was very disturbing

I too got a call from this number where the person claimed she was calling from Verifax. She said they wanted to clarify some personal contact information and wouldn't say specifically who it was for.

called to do an employment verification (title/DOH).   could confirm the last 4 of employee's SS#

Called my place of employment asking a bunch of personal questions asking to verify dob and employer address.

Asked employer's address. Knew my name. Called me at work. Not familiar with company, was brief and spoke fast.
