You "believe this is either Guitar Center/Musicians Friend" yet you don't explain WHY you believe that. Nor do you explain why you waited nearly 3 months after receiving the call to look up this phone number.

I recently bought drums from Guitar Center. Spam email was horrible and now they're calling. Answered as "Musician's Friend."

Do you often look up known phone numbers?

You are aware that both Musician's Friend and Guitar Center are owned by the same corporation.  They usually assign someone to be your "personal sales person" and they often call to make sure you are pleased with the merchandise OR to interest you in other products.  Just politely tell them: "Do not call me unless I called in a problem or complaint".  You can now find used gear on the Musican's Friend website just like on the Guitar Center website.  Musicians Friend does not take trade ins, thus all that used gear has passed thru the doors of a Guitar Center, but same warranty and customer service...I have had first hand experience with "satisfied customer".

I don't care if they are legit. But they are calling me at freaking 5AM

They keep blowing up my number to ask if i received a 15% off email. That’s all?!

Called mid-day, were very polite, and let me know they'd be sending email. I blocked the phone number, and marked the email as spam.

Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

They called me to check up on a purchase  but I never bought anything.

They usually email me when a new sales rep is assigned to my account.  This is the first time they've called to make the introduction.  I sent the caller to voicemail because I didn't recognise the number and the sales rep followed up with an email after leaving a message.  I like getting the coupons from the sales reps but not fond of phone calls LOL.

They called asking for John.

I answered...male voice said "hi"...then they hung up...phishing

I signed up for an online auction liveauctioneers.com and once I did that to view the items I received a call immediately from this # saying are you @(#&@ I am from Musicians Friend Guitar Center, do you need help purchasing anything. I told him I don't play an instrument and how did he get my # he said thanks & hung up. I have been getting random text messages from random #'s since then.
