Caller ID shows "MOFFA"

third or fourth call, I answered it the jerk just says hello a couple times and when I say "go ahead you called me" he hangs up

The MOFFA stands for Missiouri Fire Fighters Association.
They are seeking sincere donations for Fire Fighters Families left behind etc.
If you answer and say you are not intersted they will not call anymore or they will not stop....your on a list.

They call (listed as MOFFA) over and over and I have asked them to not call back but they continue. If I do not answer they call back with the same number but listed as unknown within in a minute. I have asked them nicely to not call and not so nicely but neither works. I told them I cannot help them right now but they cannot or do not understand 'no'.

Wanna bet? I asked for them to stop calling twice and the last guy told me he would if I gave them 10 bucks... can't find any mention of a Missouri Fire Fighters Association anywhere online... There IS a Fire Fighters Association of Missouri but I would expect them to know their name... These companies are scams that slip under the no-call list because they're "not-for-profit" and give next-to-nothing to any such charity.

Think about how much that company has spent on calling people.  The overhead is well above the 10 bucks you might have sent.  Personally I've revieved 20+ calls in the past few months. Keep in mind... If there is no tax deduction, this is a COMPANY and not a chaity. If the Firefighters, Police, etc. only get 10 percent, it is BULL.

I can't wait to get the next call because this is BULL****.
I will report this harassment to the BBB.
