Called our landline.  Caller ID says: Grapevine TX.  Left no message on our answering machine.

They called 3 times: Feb 16 @ 9:12, Feb 12 @ 10:31 and Feb 10 @ 12:16 with the caller ID of "Grapevine    TX".  I let the answering machine get it and no message ever.  Thanks to Lori H. and Mark's recent postings (and thank you, guys) I now know it's a Medicare supplement broker.  I'm turning 65 at the end of this month so congrats to me, I guess....

These guys come at us from all over when we turn 65.  I'm on the National Do Not Call list but this may be one of those possible exceptions -- not sure. They're still trying to sell me something and I have no previous business relationship with *them*.  Maybe they think it's a public service to tell us we should have some coverage?  Slim.

Well, that was quick.  Got another call today at 15:14.  Hey, Agatha Holoway is not a person.  She's a sophisticated voice recognition/response system.  I played with her for a while and never got a name for the organization but she did say that she was not calling to sell anything but only to inform.  Yea, right.  Then I tried interrupting her (interruptions do seem to get though) and said "Take me off your call list".  She said: "Do you want me to take your number off our calling list?" and I said Yes.  She said OK.  We'll see.

They're skirting the edge of National Do Not Call List compliance requirements.  They're claiming to be an information house and not selling.  But if we targets have to individually engage a robot to get our numbers out of the call list it nullifies the intent of the NDNC, at least.

two calls to my cell phone - no message. I never answer calls that  don't recognize. I blocked the number.

I have a CD recording I hold to phone, goes like this:
(turn on as soon as talking stops)

YES I'M INTERESTED, LET ME GET MY CREDIT CARD

no message again...sent to no mo robo

they will not stop calling and will not leave a message call all hours as late as 9PM

Robotic voice, but says she's real, don't believe it, gets stumped on certain questions and then hangs up. Found out though that it's about Medicare and benefits that avail itself to me on my birthday. When I asked if she was from Medicare, she hung up. Says it's not a sales call, but there is no point in the call if she's not selling something. Medicare sends info all the time in their mailings, I doubt they're robo-calling.

It's a telemarketer. "Block 'em, Danno!"

Just got call. Answered, no one there. Going to block.

I just got this call too.  My husband is eligible for social security this year and we've been getting a lot of spam from people wanting to sell us "supplemental" insurance.  I'm guessing this is more of the same.

To prove just how really stupid these scammers are, this number has called my house with the Caller ID reading "Texas".  Today, the same number called and the Caller ID read "MEDBENIFITS".  All caps.  Notice that they can't even spell the word "benefits" correctly!!!  Do NOT even bother answering these morons!  If you can... BLOCK the number!  I did!!!  :)

This number (817-203-9022) called me at 10:33 on a Wednesday.  Caller ID displayed that number with "Grapevine TX".  I immediately thought it might be Hillary calling to sell me a speech for $300K.  I also thought it might be Bernie Sanders promising me tons of "free programs and free money" and a promise that I can ignore my $500K student debt <snark>.  Naturally I immediately answered the phone.  Alas, it was just a female "robo call" voice.  I was so disappointed I hung up.  Apparently, this call is more "fun and games" from politicians pandering for votes, thieves posing as "charities", scammers posing as the IRS or a "Nigerian Prince" trying to rob me.

They may be doing more than skirting. If their purpose is to refer you to a third party who will try to sell you something, their activities are covered, especially if they get paid for successful referrals. If the intent is truly informational only, ie letting you know about the various Medicare Supplement Plans you may need to consider along with Medicare Part A & B, such as Part C & D without mentioning any specific insurance company, it probably does not become a DNC violation.

repeatedly posting this here won't stop the calls.  Getting a call blocker and blocking the number will.

This number keeps calling. I told her to remove my number from their list. She said ok and hung up.
