Americredit calling to change my due date on payment. Don't know if it is a scam or not. A little worried.

They insist I'm the person they want to talk to, even though I'm not.  The person they want can be located on facebook - & I told them so.  They said they would remove my number, but haven't.  Thank goodness for call block.

Like my call block?  We don't owe anyone, yet you keep calling looking for someone we don't know.  sometimes you want one person, sometimes another.  what do you do, keep calling every imaginable number hoping to hit pay dirt?  I'm keeping a file on you.

Yep, Americredit.... Another scummy low life lender with stupid interest rates, etc.  These telemarketing scams need to be outlawed at the highest level.

got a call from Americredit. Called the 800 number they left....they wanted me to input my SS#...I don't think so.

Americredit is the Ford company's 2nd chance finance people. That is why their interests are higher.  If you are worried about scammers call them off the phone number direct from your statement and tell them you recieved the call. If they have you confused with someone else, their contact information is listed on their website www.americredit.com. Send them a certified letter asking them not to call you! If they don't stop... then you have something to work with legally. Sorry you all had issues with them. For me the people I refuse to do business with is Chase Manahttan and any of their affliates or MBNA Merchant Bank. We ended up using Americredit as they were the only ones who would help us to get a vehicle after Chase refused to refinance a ballon payment on a truck we had purchased through one of their banks. We never missed a payment with them (60 mos. $356.16) on either our auto or home loan. (916.00  5years) They refused us based on a credit card they had listed as in default under my husbands credit. Thing is... he has never has a credit card through Chase ever. Chase even admitted that but still would not stop reporting it to his credit and made us give back the truck. So they actually have been really great in working with us even after my spouse was retired and could not find work. Not saying I would finance another vehicle with them, just saying they are not the worst financial company to work with and that this number is legitimately theirs.
