Received two calls today...both start as robot calls -- one number is 817-585-2567, the other is 817-585-2578. both times I answered and the robot asked for two different people.  On the first call I hit the prompt to remove my number. end of call.
2nd call...when I spoke to a "person" and told them to remove my number from their call list and to discontinue all calls to this number, I was hung up on.  So I called the number back, spoke to another "person" who said the first person removed my number...and then hung up.  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL....

when I answer this person or company places me on hold with hold music.

They call me every day, several times a day. A voicemail is never left. I just have them blocked on my phone now yet they still call. This is ridiculous.

keeps calling my work number. Don't know who they are.

Debt collectors are know to pester innocent people by calling wrong numbers. If this is happening to you, then please consider the option of a call blocker.

You do that and you'll have a 90% chance the calls will increase from other numbers. Collection agencies take very good notes. When a collection agency receives your info legitimately purchased or by way of a database of information they have purchased, any info they receive by placing calls are marked down.
You pick up the phone and answer - Noted down. LIVE NUMBER.
You pick up then hang up - Noted down. LIVE NUMBER.
If they should leave you a voice mail or message - Any info you may have on your voicemail or answering machine greeting (your name or last name) is noted down.
Should you call them back.. Give personal info.. Give an explanation of anything ("No debt", "that debt was settled", etc..).. How angry or nervous or verbal you got..  - Noted down and..
All the info they can squeak out of you is bundled up with the rest of the info they noted from others on the data base or book and sold to the next collector. So, the last thing you would want to do is go to a debt collection agency's site and fill out you info.
