What a jerk - refer back to "Pumkins" comment.

I got a call from this number. The female on the line said she was with Humana and needed to ask me some questions. The questions were quite personal so I asked her what the purpose of them was. She then hung up. I found this thread and noticed the number of different health insurance providers this outfit is saying they represent. I contacted Humana, the provider of my Medicare insurance, and they told me they never heard of DSS Research. Don't give these folks any personal info.

If they are legit, why are they calling people who have never corresponded with them?  They're fishing for business and that spells scam to me. Why not use your legit company name?

I work for a research company and before you ask yes we are ligt and are paid about eight dollars an hour to sit in front or a computer that is pre loaded with questions we are to ask verbatim and we have a dialer that dials all calls from a block of numbers the client provides us. We are never told who the client is so we or our respondents can't bias the surveys. Most ligaments firms do follow all of the rules set out by the fcc and are not rude and just so you know the client desides if we can leave msgs most say no msgs. Thanks

Well aside from the penchant for replying to 13 month old messages, I can also see that you will never win the congeniality award anywhere.  Perhaps if you had stayed in school and paid attention you would be able to obtain employment that paid more that $8.00 an hour.  Now I am not sure about most "ligament" firms but legitimate firms should follow the law but many times do not since it seems to cut into their profits.  Thank you for showing us how illiterate and unintelligent the people are who are employed by this magnanimous company.  Try not to strain your feeble brain looking up all those big words, you know the ones that are larger than 1 syllable.

When my phone comes up as a long distance number I answer the phone very softly and polity. They start talking, I interrupt and ask them In a very quiet voice to the point I know that they have to turn there volume up on there headset,  can you hear me..  Then I take my Walmart boat horn blaster,  you know the one that will make you jump out of your skin,  put it up to the phone and,  well you get the idea.  Then thank them for your pleasure and entertainment.  They get soooooooo mad.  You will be laughing the rest of the evening with the comments they make back to you.....

I get 4 to 5 calls per day from this number when will it end?

Possibly they are collecting information for idenity theft.

In order to be removed from there calling this you have to leave a voice message. I did not leave a voice message but instead blocked there number.

If you call back that number now, they have an option to remove you from their list. I hope that actually works and doesn't put me on more!!

In the bad ole analog switch days, one could not spoof numbers or send phony numbers and much but not all could be blocked. Today with voip and traffic over the web, the world is wide open to the creeps and cruds. No one is validating the numbers, the underlying ip address sending the crap, nor the called id that has become useless.

We are cursed to be plagued into hades with this mess. Frankly, we should get the originating ip address shown/displayed  for immediate action against THEM.

so far, the only real answer against this mess is using a local call blocker and your own answering machine to stop/trap this garbage.

As well intended as do not call lists are they are utterly ineffectual against this crap. I have had to have a computer based call blocker on my home phone for the last 3 years while I was getting 5 to 10 phony calls a day to my home phone.

Yes, I want the clowns  grabbed, skinned and strung up immediately.

Received a call from regarding a survey about my healthcare insurance.Stated that any info I provided would be confidential. Starting asking me personal questions so I said I was not interested and hung up.

Got a call from this #@6:41 p.m.  No msg was left.

This is a marketing research company requesting information about your supplemental Medicare health plan.  I don't give out personnel information over the phone that can be sold to other telemarketers.  They may well be a reputable company but I did not request a call from them and I don't know who gave them my telephone number.

Got a call from this # at 7:55 p.m.  Did not answer & no msg was left.

This never keeps calling and it is getting annoying.

How about you just don't answer the phone.. Now there's an idea ! Your both what's wrong with this world today.. To just dish out rudeness to the next person that may cross your path is flat out wrong.. It's truly time that everyone on this planet stop and take a look at themselves and make the extra effort to be kind to at least one person who's path you may cross that day.. If all of us did that the world would indeed be a little better each day so I sincerely hope that both of you have a really great day..  Please pass this message on.. :)
